Apple created a fake valley by (ingeniously) decoupling the iMac screen and body into two separate products. Clever. They now say the 27" iMac is dead. Before 2030, they will resurrect the iMac again, this time with the HDR 120hz display, M-silicon stuff, and whatever else. But for now, they killed one product to introduce two instead, which is also of course more expensive for us all.
ОтветитьApple is a bad "deal" in general, people like it because "ITZ SHINEY!"
Ответитьpompous.
ОтветитьI'm going to take the M3 iMac instead ....
ОтветитьHow about color accuracy?
ОтветитьNeeds $700 wheels
ОтветитьI can't stand how apple cheaps out on the webcam. My M1 Max has that same crappy camera...
ОтветитьI'd love one but I wouldn't spend that money for it. I'll get a different brand.
ОтветитьPersonally, for quality and privacy reasons I'd rather that there was no speakers or camera on my monitor! The fact that you have to pay for it is very annoying.
The power cord issue is ridiculous.
too expensive for nothing
ОтветитьThe difference between a Bentley flying spur mulliner and the cheapest Nissan, they both do the same thing, get you from A to B but what would you have?
ОтветитьThey SHOULD allow you to run apple TV on it. I don’t care, it just doesn’t make sense to have 64gb of storage, a fully fledged camera, SOC, speakers and display and not allow it to work as a smart display like some of Samsung’s PC displays.
ОтветитьOne thing you didn’t mention that is very important to content creators, cinematographers, etc is that the colors you see on this display are exactly the colors you see on an Apple laptop, iMac, iPhone or iPad. Very important if those devices are what a lot of you viewers are using. Even outputting video in standard REC709, it will look different on different devices. If you color graded on a monitor that isn’t using the same space as your viewers, they will see something different. Of course, since not everyone is using Apple products, they may see different colors anyways, but this at least gets you in sync with a large amount of the population.
ОтветитьLukewarm takes
Ответитьi can accept 1600 if it's an OLED panel
Ответитьand it could not even be bezel less?
ОтветитьYou can get the Dough Spectum One for $700. Its 27" 4k 144hz with glossy finish.
ОтветитьIf only they offered touch screen and Apple Pencil support. That would improve soo many workflows and justify the cost. But alas they won’t do anything affect iPad sales. I miss the Apple that would take chances
ОтветитьThe "plop" sound is really annoying, it hurts my ears. Couldn't finish the video because of it.
ОтветитьI usually like MKBHD reviews, but this one was pretty biased. The argument that "the specs aren't good, but once you COMMIT to buying an overpriced monitor...." doesn't help things.
Apple products are often good, but they are ALWAYS absurdly overpriced. Stop rewarding them for that. Tell them that the prices aren't okay.
The problem is that many reviewers say that 27" 4k displays don't work well with Mac because of "scaling" issues. That pretty much leaves the options of Apple or LG.
ОтветитьAwesome my dude !!!
Ответить1000$ for a visual effect and another 1000$ for the stand...... Im out of words
ОтветитьCrazy part is after saying it’s not worth everyone in his studio has one and some have 2 😅
ОтветитьAlogic clarity 4K monitor offers a glossy screen 400 nits brightness, height adjustable stand, hdr and Apple styling for around $700. Built in speakers aren’t that great but you can get external speakers with the money saved. Colours just pop with the glossy screen and is an underrated monitor. Dell has one similar but has a matte screen so this is a great option
ОтветитьTl;dr The Apple Studio Display is a bad deal... in the same way that all Apple Apple products are a "bad deal": They are arguably overpriced if you only look at specs and ignore everything else including user experience, build quality, premium design, etc. In other words, if you ignore all the reasons why people buy Apple products.
ОтветитьWhats that white apple box called?
ОтветитьI'm not gonna lie 1.6K bucks for a 60hz monitor sounds fucking stupid. Even 200$ monitors can easily reach 144hz if not more.
ОтветитьAnd you can’t hang it on the wall
ОтветитьI literally only want this monitor because I can’t handle getting another monitor with fuzzy text and completely unable to do school work on it. This monitor is saving me from buying 3 more monitors to find the right one that works for my MacBook.
ОтветитьPoop eat bro the monitor is so cool
ОтветитьInteresting Apple is basically giving away storage that can't be used in a monitor, meanwhile overcharging for basic DIMM modules when ordering from their website for a desktop or a laptop.
ОтветитьGonna try to snag a used one for $650
ОтветитьWork with a window behind you?! Preposterous...
-Feng Shui guy
On the other hand, the 1000 USD stand has increased my productivity by 38%...
Ответить4k with apple is terrible. Tried one, returned it, got the studio display and it’s so crisp and nice
Ответитьhey Marques i have a Apple Cinema Display 30" DVI (1280X800) that i got to use with my Mac Pro desktop 2 X 2.66 GHZ Dual-Core Intel Xeon. they r both from 2007 they both still work to this day! i m only running OS X Lion 10.7.5 of course there r not updates, but hey they still work. i find the thing with Apple either it works or it doesnt! in my case i m not interested in any monitors of any kind that r not at least 30". not sure why Apple hasnt made any 30" in many years! i m holding out! cheers
ОтветитьThat's why I love your vids marquez lol! 100% honest,!
ОтветитьCan we get a iPad Pro best monitors video
ОтветитьThis didn't age well. Still the best deal on 5k 27 inch premium monitors.
ОтветитьNothing apple sells is a good deal 😂
ОтветитьMarvellous review, entertaining and informative. As an iMac 27” user about to upgrade, I won’t be buying it and I get the Apple Friend & Family 17% discount.
ОтветитьAmazing. A $1300 iPhone 11 Promax, new 2019, supports HDR content. One would think a $1600 monitor, new 2020, would. Kinda sad.
Ответить60 hz!?!? LOL PFFT!!!!!!!!!!
ОтветитьNone of their products are good deals so nothing has changed! I gave up purchasing a new iphone and put the money towards a Studio Display :)
ОтветитьAbsolute rubbish and an utter rip off for use in a studio.
No hardware calibration makes this crap, period end of.
Then no equaliser/uniformity electronics to add injury to insult.
EIZO is the way to go for pros, Apple for fanboy noobs into outward design.
Problem for Apple is that they never lower prices... they'll keep a $50k product at $50k even when it's worth $500.
ОтветитьI'm sorry if this is offensive but I want this display alongside its mini studio. I want quality. Every time I go against what want and settle, I end up at geek squad or some where else trying to get it fixed regretting not going with apple. I have one of the first iPods and It still works like brand new. You can't beat Apple's Engineering. It's expensive but like you said so is a Rose Royce, and sometimes when you settle, you get what you pay for.
