Great episode, I think chipping away at the IJN while slowly building your strength is a solid strategy, eventually you will be able to turn the tide
ОтветитьKaichu IV class armament (via Wikipedia):
4 × 533 mm (21 in) TTs
(4 × front)
• 8 × 6th Year Type torpedoes
• 1 × 76.2 mm (3.00 in) L/23.5 5th Year Type AA gun
So no rear tubes.
Development (via Wikipedia):
Project number S7. In 1910s, the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) bought a license of Schneider-Laubeuf design submarine. The IJN used the design as model and built the S Type (Schneider Type) submarine, the Ha-9 and Ha-10. The Kaichū I is the submarine which jumboized the S Type submarines.
So they were a French design.
Paul Jones appears to have no K-Guns or Y-Guns, I think you need to be passing directly over your target.
Easy on the rudder, you seem to go from hard to port to hard to starboard or just straight ahead.
The Fokker T.IV was a Dutch torpedo bomber/maritime reconnaissance floatplane of the 1920s and 1930s. First flying in 1927, it served with the Dutch Naval Aviation Service in the Dutch East Indies until the remaining aircraft were destroyed during the Japanese invasion in 1942. (Wikipedia).
Neither ship was a Fubuki, Fubukis have two equally wide stacks and three torpedo launchers, very distinctive.
You really need to maneuver your torpedo planes for optimal attack angles.
Fun episode.
Just be glad the Kitakami cruiser isn't in game, it started life as a cruiser from the kuma class with 8 x 533mm torpedo tubes then after conversion it had 40 x 610mm torpedo tubes, it sacrificed guns for torpedos went from 7 x 14cm to carrying only 4 x 14cm
