Such a strong wise beautiful woman; I love when she said, "I'm a survivor, not a victim." That is an important life lesson.

It is insulting to alledge a critic of history to be a "nasty man" simply because the disagree with your own beliefs, how ever honestly held; that conditions and experiences were bad is certain, it was a dreadfull war and Germany and Poland each lost some 12/13% of their entire populations, conditions in post war DP camps was far superior to the starvation experienced by millions of Germans and especially on their own forced expulsion from the east, to claim adversity all to one's own group is more than disingenuous.

Mengele was everywhere all the time, why doesn't any of the dozens of other doctors ever get a mention and especially the head medic who was praised by an inmate in a cartoon for so valiantly combatting the dreaded louse, even Mengel contracted lice borne typhus fever, endemic in easter Europe and rife in crowded insanitary conditions, that's why showers were mandated when people entered and left the camps, even Wiesel wrote about that, complaining of course.

This generation is resilient. 👏👏

All Nazi run concentration camps were horrible. But if I were to point out, Auschwitz, Treblinka, Sobibor, Bergen-Belsen, Dachau and the Ustase run Jasenovac in Croatia stood above the rest.

We all have great good and great evil within us. The people who end up evil just never realized that they can do horrible things, thats why they think they are justified (the people that think they can’t possibly do anything wrong are the people who end up doing the most, wrong)

Many innocent people were caught in the crossfire, but a holy man was chosen by GOD to cleanse the evil being forced on German society. Only the innocent souls may rest in heaven.

How ironic Hitler was brown eyed dark hair, but he thought blue or green eyes with blond hair were superior. I've watched many documentaries about him n it suggests his biological dad was a jew n left him mom. Who knows tho

My eldest son, my daughter and I have all visited Auschwitz/ Birkenau.... we all came away with deep emotional thoughts... I saw the on going conservation work... this place (and others) must be preserved!

I disagree with Lydia Tischler's opinion that if you are treated well as a child you can't become a "Hitler" cause there is a small percentage of the world population who are pschopaths who were treated above average as children from all walks of life who admit to being treated well by their parents yet they are still hitlers', psychopaths' and enemies of the cross of Christ, and I can give a handful of examples too! Aaron Campbell the 16 year old psychopatthic child killer is one of them who is said to be from a middle class family and yet he showed psychopathic traits even from early infancy! Ted Bundy is another notorious psychopath who is said to have..., well he hiimself confessed that he had very good kind parents etcetera! you know there are children and even very young infants who would actually show intesnse strong signs of psychopathy from a very young age indeed in some cases puting their adult parents and sibblings life in fear of danger etcetera so there you go! I would say though that there are two types of psychopaths! the first type is a natural psychopath who is born without certain elements in their brain that causes them to be different from the rest of the world and then the second type of psychopaths is the ones that are made that way and or influenced that way to be that way rather then being naturally so! for example I know that the late Queen of the West namely Britain's late husband Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh was a psychopath but whether he was born that way (thus a natural psychopath) or whether he was made that way thus not natural I do not know unlike Aaron Campbell we know that he was definitely born that way with EEG scans to prove this fact as well as accounts from his close friends or aquaintances as they probably do not want to own up to having any connections with him anymore etcetera! his mom said that she is scared of him!

I have listened to many survivors and as much as their story broke my heart and made me question a lot of things about humanity, this woman, for some reason, gave me hope. She gave me courage.

A memorial plaque in Auschwitz has had the number of deaths st the camp downgraded from 4 million to 1 million.Where did all those victims go?And why so many survivors?
