ОтветитьSo what? The BP is down when you measure after deep breathing, but what about the BP all those hours between measurements. Your BP is probably on the high side most of the time. This procedure is just fooling yourself to believe that your BP is OK when it isn’t. I’m a 76 yo male and I did have a problem with high BP : Sys 150 - 165. Daily physical activities (brisk walking 3-5 km or training with light weights ( only 12 kg) for 15 min) and slightly changing my diet (less salt and sugar and more vegetables) did the trick . I’ve now been measuring 3 times/ day for 1 month. The Sys is now 115 - 135 , it varies depending on activity prior to the measurements, sometimes it can be as low as 105 and occasionally 140. I don’t rest before measuring, just sit down for 30 sec and breath normal.

ОтветитьI`ll try that in a minute, hope it works for me too. Just wanted to let u know that I`ve just read an article in Clinical science magazine that says that 800micrograms of Folate per day lowers blood pressure in older women. Good to know , I guess.

ОтветитьFor those of you that think running is bad for high BP because it’s “too much stress on the heart”, please do the research. Keeping an average to high level of cardiovascular fitness lowers your risk of heart disease and hypertension. The heart is a muscle, just like your abdomen for example. If you work it out on a weekly basis, you will improve the muscle overtime by strengthening it. I am not a doctor. However, I run an average amount and really helps to keep my BP at bay.

ОтветитьIt worked! Despite being relaxed, though maybe slighly anxious about stuff, I was getting around 140/80 - repeatedly. I've been getting even higher readings sometimes too recently.
I tried big, slow, deep breaths, really feeling my lungs filling then emptying, for a few minutes, and I got 116/78 - which for me is brilliant.
Really goes to show how we can still have some immediate positive influence over something like blood pressure, and (for me) it highlights how sustained stress and my psychological response to it are something to urgently focus on (as well as orher lifestyle changes).
I prefer avocados. higher in potassium . bananas are loaded with carbs.

ОтветитьI was sitting here waiting for the doctor to ring back as my blood pressure was up to 180 I found this method on line and it came right down to 125 and I’m still waiting for the doctor to ring
