I feel like i saw this pitch at the time. I wasn't overly impressed. Ordering food online, are you mad? oh
ОтветитьJones is a braggart knob
ОтветитьHungry house was baught by just eat in 2017 and just eat paid 200 million pounds for it.
ОтветитьIf they’d invested £100k they would’ve got a return of £22 million, less any costs . Oops
Ответитьlol dragons were so wrong. I think technology helped them with mobile devices
ОтветитьIt sure is satisfying to see the know it all, condescending, best at everything dragons miss out on a billion + business :)
ОтветитьWhat a d'head Deborah is. Maybe people need the choices in front of them to decide what cuisine they want to eat
ОтветитьThey all eat out on fine dining, hence why they couldn't connect with the idea REAL people love today
ОтветитьOh Dragons, looking back on this how short sighted you all are, Peter well, what can I say. One word......Brewdog
ОтветитьPeter has a really good knack of investing in amazing things that make millions, and not investing and slagging off amazing things that go on to make millions and millions
Ответитьused it 1000s of times, well this and just eat
ОтветитьThe dragons were so wrong about these investors ❗💯💯💯
ОтветитьThose who dont know, this business has now turned into Just Eat, with a net worth of about $1 Billion.
ОтветитьImagine owning 11% of this lot! Biggest oversight by the Dragons ever!
ОтветитьJust look at Deliveroo, Uber Eats, etc. to see how big this market became. Idiot dragons: "it's just a website". So shortsighted.
Ответитьtheo the foetus
ОтветитьWhat they failed to do was explain the unique selling point, which is, people would rather not talk to anyone and just press a few buttons.
ОтветитьBest VHS Rip out there.
ОтветитьWow a website worth 100000 priceless, absolutely superlative. Very impressive, advances made by cutting edge technology to turn flagellation imbued enterprices into potentially lucrative businesses.
ОтветитьThey should watch shark tank. They have no respect for people. 😕
ОтветитьThey had good vision for the future
Ответитьthey are now worth 14billion
ОтветитьSo this was posted 13 years ago. These days there are tens of thousands of people ordering from ubereats and other sites every day. You see it far too often that people are so ahead of their time that they get belittled for it and give up only to see their exact idea become huge.
That's the problem with Dragon's Den and similar shows. I'd rather try to make private connections and build money that way than get my entire idea destroyed on national TV
I need investment for my idea, it’s called just eat
ОтветитьGot sold to justeat for 200 million in 2016 lol god this video has not aged well for the dragons.
ОтветитьHow wrong they were...
ОтветитьDeborah is wrong about this one :D
ОтветитьWhy does it have to be unique, why cant it just be convenient... kmt Deborah
ОтветитьThey sold the Hungry house company to just eat for £240 million madness just under a quarter of a billion
ОтветитьThis hasn’t aged very well for the Dragons
ОтветитьGood to know that even Multi millionaires can be dumb cunts
ОтветитьWhat a terrible lack of vision. This was the predecessor to all modern delivery apps nowadays. What a huge mistake.
ОтветитьThis video quality is ancient! LOL
ОтветитьJUST EAT CURRENT VALUATION : 10 BILLION POUNDS. HAHA
ОтветитьBrilliant! Love to see those opinionated dragons proved wrong.
ОтветитьWell, this hasn't aged well, has it?
ОтветитьThis shows that the dragons are just a bunch of clowns , this company now worth something in the region of £2bn . Probably these guys are now richer than the dragons themselves.
ОтветитьHow wrong they were. I just had fish n chips from just eat lol
ОтветитьAs of 16 October 2020, just eat is worth £14 billion.
Big players - Ubereats, Deliveroo, are on top the game competing with just eats.
The asking investments was £100,000 but they sold it on to just eat for two hundred million a few years later.
Just wondering if Peter jones team could thought of that
salut
Ответить"-The value of the website is the system design, the coding, website...
-There's no value there!"
I wonder why tech companies started to thrive in the Silicon Valley instead of London.....
To be fair I used to hear it a lot in London that US investors are way more bold and open-minded. British investors are way more conservative and safe players.
Peter and Deborah’s comments really didn’t age well. The only time I’ve seen them this much against an idea and knocking it down was literally the only business they would of ever had to invest in, to be more wealthy then everything they have to this date.
ОтветитьHow different things would be now without hungryhouse then just eat taking over
ОтветитьI'm assuming this was before Grubhub, Door Dash, Uber Eats, etc. Or do those not exist in the UK? Sorry I wouldn't know.
ОтветитьWhen Deborah says people don’t look at a web site and wonder what to eat. No, they now look at an app. Back in 2008 iPhone was just in its infancy.
The difference between an investor and a visionary is clear here. Visionaries look to the future.
