ARGENTINA GANO LA COPA DEL MUNDO
Also:
I ve been reading the book "The centurians" and "The pretorians", it amuse me how the racist author can be so aware that the vietnamese and algerians had beat them in war, while also being a massive ignorant of the humanity of the vietnamese people. The whole novel refuse to understand why people could engage in a opressive system that dehumanize them and only see them as inferiors.
THe vietnamese deserve the peace they got and the equality that was the true reason for fighting the imperialists. Ignoring their ability to fight is absurd and childish

Bah. Even our militia can rape these US troop like hot knife through butter.

Perhaps you should do a video about "ngụ binh ư nông" strategy that many powerful Vietnam Dynasties implemented to grow a powerful army without wasting much resource. ( Which explain why the PAVN also participate in the economy of the nation)

The Vietnamese were not just some farmers. They had been fighting one invader to another for hundreds of years. The Chinese, French, Japanese, Americans, and Australians. They are a tough fighting fighting force to be reconned with. To the Vietnamese, Americans were this weeks enemy. Glad this video puts this myth to rest.

I am a Vietnamese American born in the US. In school I was I was taught that the north and south Vietnam was 2 separate sides. From my Dad he would tell me stories about running away from Vietnam and talk about how he hates communists. I remember learning about how buddhist burning themselves to protest the capitalist government of South Vietnam, but my dad says it’s false because he read it from some newspapers from a different source that he claims is more trustworthy. I also remember stories about my dad complaining about the communist steeling his mom land and that he could of been rich. My Mom born in the early 70s had a poor background like everyone else in Vietnam at the time, although I don’t really here her view of the Vietnamese government no where near as much as my dad she share similar political views.

Americans fighting in Vietnam betrayed their own history. The USA was founded as a country supposedly shrugging off the yoke of European colonial occupation. They should've been helping the Viet Minh to do the same, but the preservation of capitalism was more important. Not the first time the USA has failed to live up to its own ideals thanks to capital.

Even though the meme is an ignorant oversimplification, I think the sentiment is definitely pro-Vietnam and anti-American military-- it is a complement for a country to defeat the largest and wealthiest armed forces in the world. Great video.

Yeah, deff not just rice farmers. Vietnam shot down enough US jets in dog fights that our entire training regime was scrapped and redone. Top Gun was the result of that effort because our pilots didn't know how to dog fight. We even turned it into 2 movies. XD Though, Vietnam is mentioned in passing only.

Once I had a discussion with a guy (I'm Brazilian by the way, so as he is) about that I said just that, the whole Vietnam forces were extremely organized, well lead and well prepared, the guy used the usual US propaganda talking about casualties, but US casualty figures were EXTREMELY lacking, when convenient they use civilian casualties as military casualties and vice-versa, they did pretty much the same about the Korea war, which they used the same tactic (which they still uses today), rapid invasion with a prolonged brutal occupation with local mob instated as puppet government, thing is, when they can achieve strategical gains or don't really know how to proceed they open free fire zones, which is the term used in Korea, everything that moves closer to their line is shot on sight, if they suspect of anything or anyone they shot on sight, and thoses killed (mostly civilians) are considered military casualties, after some massacres went public they changed that, in Iraq and Afghanistan they didn't disclose the casualty list, we know how bad it was because of third party investigators which were considered unreliabler, even tho the same method was used in Rhuanda and praised by the US government and the British admits they were reliable internally, also, the South Vietnamese army, which was pretty much the US cannon fodder, took the blunt of their casualties and those were quite high, the NVA and Viet Minh were a formidable force, years later that was again proven reality in the war against China.

I'm baffled by the US government and military force sending those extremely poor, disable, mentally ill young men into war like that. They were on purpose sent to DIE instead of the white, middle and upper class men who actually supported and benefited from the war. They were chosen to be killed on the other side of the planet because their country deemed then inferior, unworthy of LIVING, and able to be discarded.b That's LITERALLY EUGENICS. THATS LITERALLY GENOCIDE.

i am afraid to say that the real lesson the us britain and france learned from their colonial wars was that they could not fight such wars with conscripts because of the negative political consequences at home. since then they have carried out their various neocolonial wars using professionals, as did the british in the nineteenth century, and there is no political fallout at home.

Do you know, before Vietnam war there is no B52 got shot down. You know why we shot down so many. I heard an old army officer explain on a fly the key is how we corporate artillery, missiles and air-force to dissect the sky.
We don't know how maybe through intelligence from both Soviet and Vietnam, and also from B52 reputation, Ho Chi Minh know the US would use B52 as their last resort, he even know where the US will use B52 to attack, it's Hanoi our Capital. "We had planned a B52 slaughter on Hanoi sky for several years ahead, since I was still studying artillery in Soviet" He said! God damnnnnn! Honestly I thought we are just simply badass. I mean that's just how people just proudly assumed about their country.
I think the key is Ho Chi Minh know the US army have to use all of their B52 as their last resort before the US army. Those B52 pilot was sent to their death, there is no chance for them.

And yet were still highly untrained and ill disciplined and lost most engagements against the Americans despite being supplied with the latest weapons and equipment from the Eastern Bloc at the time. Their worst and most embarrassing moments being the Tet Offensive. Inb4 ''but murica still lost hur hur!!'' Yeah, we lost politically, not militarily. That's like some dorky kid saying he ''won'' a fight against his bully, when all the dorky kid did was tell on the bully and got him in trouble, not changing the fact he still got his face kicked in....another example - The Rhodesian Bush War, did Rhodesia eventually lose? Sure, but to say that ZAPU ''won'' the fight is highly misleading when the RLI literally won every single engagement against them and ZAPU's only ''victories'' were terrorist attacks against civilians. Also, Jeremy. Luna's not gonna bed you, stop trying too hard buddy.

I wasn't aware of the offensive nature of the word "viet cong". I will definitely always refer to them as "Viet Minh" from now on.

I wish there were a lot more movies, video games and other media portraying the actual heroic efforts of the Vietnamese instead of the tired old "american hero would win, if only it wasn't for the stupid politicians in Washington"-narrative.

A bit of a correction, every PAVN unit that moved South, would be redesignated as a NLF unit. So technically the NLF did all the fighting in the South, so I don't think you should mention the role of the PAVN in the South in this vid.
