Exciting news! Hometown Heroes will officially be receiving more funding on July 1st! There have been some changes, so here is how the renewal can help your clients.
Your clients can receive 5% of the TOTAL Loan Amount with a maximum of $35,000 and a minimum of $10,000 in down payment and closing cost assistance.
This is open to first-time buyer clients working full-time, which is 35 hours, in a physical brick-and-mortar Florida-based company. Also, only one buyer needs to be a full-time employee. Exemptions for the full-time work requirement are co-borrowers, non-occupying co-borrowers, and veterans and active-duty military as long as they provide the required documentation.
What makes a first-time homebuyer for Hometown Heroes? It is someone who has not owned a Primary residence in the last 3 years. Veterans and active military are exempt from this rule.
