Can't agree with Jonah Lomu and Brian Habana on the wings. Habana was a very good player, but one of the greats?. For Lomu was fantastic for the game, but he was found out once defences started to tackle him low. On a side note JPR Williams has to be in there at fullback!

If habana was playing against lomu at lomus prime..lomu would’ve run through habana like nothing..!!

Replace Pienaar with Michael Jones, and Johnson with Victor Matfield. Then put Stephen Larkham (my all time favorite flyhalf) on the bench with Danie Gerber or Tim Horan

While I like Barry John as 1st 5/8 i think Gareth Edwards with that pass of his made him look better than he was, so Daniel Carter there. At centre i would have picked Bruce Robertson despite liking Conrad Smith, fullback would have to be JPR Williams despite Christian Cullen's talents. Wayne Shelford was a better LMD than Zinzan ever was. Tim Horan was definitely the best 2nd five I ever saw.

Just my opinion, you can’t choose old school players for the greatest starting xv of all time. If lomu was playing now in his prime he would be no where near as good! But then again if he was about now and had the same coaching, training, nutrition then I I don’t see why not

I agree with most of your choices but there’s two I disagree with.Zinzan Brooke was definitely not the greatest number 8 of all time in fact I wouldn’t even say he’s the best no. 8 NZ had let in the world.And I would choose John Kirwan way ahead of Campese,he was too hot and cold whereas Kirwan was consistently above average almost every game he played

Springbok supporter here but no way Francois Pienaar must be included in any greatest xv side. Michael Jones was a far superior player in every facet of the game. Would also have Victor Matfield instead of Martin Johnson, Danie Gerber ahead of Brian O'Driscoll and most importantly Christian Cullen ahead of Sergio Blanco.
