Hi! I have a single-stem, no-branches fiddle leaf fig that’s almost 2 years old. I tried pinching the top-most 2 leaves and bud off my plant in January to propagate for a friend. I watched your videos on how to successfully pinch a plant, and was hoping new growth or branches would sprout from the top. However, the top of the plant has just shriveled up and I don’t see any new growth starting. Do you have advice on how to encourage growth from the top of the stem?

I have a new tree. Have had it for about a year. It’s still growing slowly but doing well overall. I just broke off a leaf yesterday because it was pretty brown. Is breaking it off okay to do? Like without using pruning scissors?

You should put the Tools that you need to do it first. Since that’s what you need to start and that’s important.

I have a FLF that has a main stalk and a side branch. The side branch is so slow to grow so I tried to prune it and it’s still not growing/putting out new branches etc. Any suggestions? Should I try to chop it again?

Thank you so much for all of your help, she is thriving from your info! I got my fiddle almost a year and a half ago and she’s never dropped a leaf and she’s so healthy. I just took the leap to prune off an old leaf (it came damaged from Lowe’s).

my fig is extremely leggy with numerous 3-5' stalks (10) and at this point only a few healthy leaves way up top, then some little new growth right at the base. How to help the poor thing become bushy again and not leggy? (It's been in a too shady spot and has received too much water, and I am remedying both of those problems.) thanks

Thanks for the great video. I cut off the top 1-2 feet of my fiddle leaf fig. There was no sap. Is that a problem?

I have a fiddle leaf that I got in dire straits, and have been struggling to keep it up! I received it with two leaves, one damaged, brown spots and one long stick! As i started taking care of it, new leaves have come and gone, but its still one long stick and now new baby leaves are coming from the bottom up. Should I cut the long stick and start over with the baby leaves or clear them and hope the old leaves will be okay?

When taking off older leaves, is it best to just pop them off by bending down, or should I be trimming them off with a scissors?

I have a very leggy little fiddle with the only leaves clustered at the top - if I cut back the stems will the stem die off (since there are no green buds below the top leaves)?

My FLF produced NO SAP despite pruning a branch that is actively growing leaves? Also hardly any sap when notching... but other branches are growing leaves...What gives?

I have a fiddle leave that has branches growing to my ceiling. It is over taking my kitchen. Its over 10 ft tall. It's beautiful but over powering. I want to trim it back, i dont want to kill it.

I noticed that you manually snapped off the lower leaves rather than cutting them. Is this the preferred method? Thank you!
