Had an issue where a guy followed me home I even took him on a small trip to see if he was and he followed. When I got home he pulled up behind me telling me I’m going to find out and making death threats. Lucky for me two police cruisers where parked near me responding to a call. Now I’m working on getting my fire arm. Not going through that scary situation again with out protection on my side

I know Uber and Lyft have a policy against carrying any weapons. But as drivers, I'd say we must do whatever it takes to defend ourselves, despite what the policy says. I'd rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6, any day.

Use the plea as a confession. What an awful way to infringe. Any joe shmoe could prove someone infringing on free speech, un[sic] constitutional carrying, intent. Say maybe on basketball or checkers? Right... As law is law, why grant special access to some and allow some special privelege? I do not support a laymans right to violate 8th Amendment and 6th Amendment protections. HB 1927 is, imo, mutiny.
The law would expect two or more to seek better, walk away, or run, distance ones ownself from harm. This, the land of opportunity, expects better. If in danger call someone with the training and ability to make / place, subdue / apprehend.

To the ignorant clowns who want to play armchair quarterback and yell, “the shooter should have thought this through”, I will say these events happen in seconds and a decision must be made in seconds.

Two things to consider:

1) the perp got what he asked for. It’s plain to see in the video.

2) the Uber driver was justified in legally defending himself and his passenger. The perpetrator reaped what he had willfully sown. Period.

He did not need stand your ground to get away with that. That was self defense after being threatened.

He was justified to shoot that guy and if you don't believe so then you are unaware of reality and real life

The bigger problem was that he was targeting his ex girlfriend and I wonder if she would have gotten away with hit if she shot him? I hope so. Every state should be stand your ground.
