Ital-... wait where is Italy?
lol "Ho-ro" sounds like the finnish word horo which meaning i am not going to say here
ОтветитьJapan could not develop an effective tank due to lack of iron resources. So it made tankettes which were useless against what the Allies could muster. Bushido cannot win against raw steel.
ОтветитьAhh PH is a analogy for my favorite thing... potential history of course!
Ответить日本が侵攻した地域には重戦車を降ろせるようなクレーンはありませんでした。
従って船舶の補助クレーンの限界である重量16tを超える戦車は、作っても降ろせません。

Hey, they protected the Tankers from rocks!
ОтветитьJapanese tank commander: slaps hood of tank
tank explodes
Ho-I 1 and Ho-I 2 SPGs actually went into production and were capable of easily knocking out Shermans, and unlike Chi-Nu they were actually used late in the war, but than again, only a bit more than 100 were made. Too little, too late.
Btw, I think the stupid “competition” between army and fleet was what halted innovation in the Imperial Japanese armed forces.
Sometimes 2 or more planes were made for the same role, instead of joining forces army and fleet spread the few resources they had on separate projects.
Also it should be noted that compared to other tankettes Type 97 Te-Ke was pretty good, with its cannon arnament, way better than Pz.1 and the soviet T-28, or Italian CV33
Ответитьoh.... so THAT'S why the Japanese lost to Australia.
ОтветитьThey were shit, shit with a diesel engine. They broke down often in China. China is a vast place like the USSR, so Japanese tanks were challenged mechanically, they weren't up to that challenge.
ОтветитьHow effective is having a tank in an island campaign for Japan? Would the resources for that tank not been better used in artillery pieces, planes or ships instead?
ОтветитьBro. U Nailed it. Great info , Facts , kinda quick and easy to listen to. Thanks from Sunny Fla !
Ответитьa handful of whippets.... now some of the weird design choices all make sence
ОтветитьThis just shows how unchallenged the Japanese were for most of the war, their egos grew so large after picking on third world countries that they thought they could actually take on a great power, even the invasion of singapore and hongkong were just pure luck since the british were occupied in europe, the second a great power focused on them, they buckled like rats
Ответитьgosh I love that intro, have you clipped it yet? hope so XD
ОтветитьIsland Italian. Fast, maneuverable, unable to keep up with the new demands because of industry limits
ОтветитьJunk
ОтветитьNo i finally know what the tank names MEAN when i play warthunder
ОтветитьThis is all true unless you play BFV
The Type 97 is a beast in that game
And I feel proud to say that I’m quite good with it
I once wrote an article for a military history magazine about the Japanese Army-Navy rivalry in WWII. Its roots go back hundreds of years to the Shotgun Era in which family clans literally fought each other. As Japan modernized, the actual fighting eventually stopped. However, entire clans joined either the Army or Navy en masse, bringing with them their ancient jealousies, grudges, and outright hatred for each other. This manifested itself during the war as a lack of mutual cooperation, often to the point of absurdity.
Ответитьreally.....cartoons... thumbs down dumb azz
ОтветитьGreat video thank you for all of your efforts!
ОтветитьThe better question to your statement about Axis powers and forests, is why did the allies have such blind eye to mechanized units moving throw the forests.
ОтветитьIn different point of view,
because Japanese tanks are light, Japanese Army general mistakenly thought their means of anti Tank warfare was
bayonet and molotoph cocktail against Western and Russian tanks. And most Japanese soldiers were annihilated.
Surprisingly enough in later found documents, Japan general at the time concluded their bayonet rush against tanks was "effective",
by means of sacrificing tens of soldiers for handful of tanks.
I clicked on this video and got a Mitsubishi ad
ОтветитьMeanwhile, the Yugoslav Partisans: I have smol tank. I have big gun. Oh, yes, it's all coming together. inser frankenstein ugly af tank
ОтветитьWhat an intro
ОтветитьJapanese tank was good at first by 1943 things turn around
ОтветитьCalling Goering a "Fat Drug Addict" is an insult to fat drug addicts.
ОтветитьEvery time I see an enemy Type 89 in War Thunder, I say, "Ah yes, a Rolling Sheetmetal" and proceed to send it to the shadow realm in one shot because the Type 89 has horrendous performance across the board....
ОтветитьFuck man its been 5 years already
ОтветитьThe most common thing I hear is that Japan keeps there best weapons for defense of the home island.
Ответитьah yes famous irish-japanese tank designer tommy o’hara
Ответить“Gotta build fast! THEAMERICANSARECOMING”
ОтветитьWG is better at making japanese tanks then the japanese lol
ОтветитьExpeditionary tanks. They had a completely different set of needs for their tanks to fulfill.
ОтветитьEven though the tanks didn’t perform well they still look cute
ОтветитьI dunno why but I have the sudden urge to play HOI4 co-op with my friend and we will do Army vs Navy Japan.
One takes Army, the other takes Navy.
Their tanks sucked because they knew the Chinese army triple sucked
ОтветитьSomething I shake my head at is yes whatever they make will beat people with no tanks but who did the Japanese army really worry about fighting all the time the Soviets, and after they run into them once they should have been more invested.
ОтветитьSo Japan would've defeated China if there's no rivalry?
ОтветитьWhen time travel is invented, I’m gonna go back in time and tell the japanese to fix their tank doctrine
Ответитьyou have brought great shame n dis honor on my famiry
ОтветитьMy opinion has always been that Japanese tanks excelled at the type of warfare they originally took part in. It’s important to remember that for much of the war the Chinese severely lacked a lot of modern weapons meaning they often didn’t have guns capable of taking out even the lightly armored Japanese tanks. For similar reasons it would have been overkill for Japanese tanks to have heavy guns since they only very rarely engaged armored vehicles at the time. Another reason for how light their armor is being that they were fairly frequently fighting in mountains where even medium tanks would have been far too heavy to be of any use. This ofc means that when they run into the Americans who do have tanks and plenty of weapons that can kill tanks it didn’t go well 💀
ОтветитьDidn’t the Japanese arm a tank with torpedos???
ОтветитьMade a small mistake saying Japan invaded Manchuria in 1933 when the conflict began in 1931, But the Battle of Rehe did take place beginning in February of 1933 and that it the crux of the point. My Bad.
Special thanks to QAZ and Whatismoo for help with sources and footage.
