I saw Brother Ray at the Blue Note in Greenwich Village live. It was a blow away experience seeing him live in a small room. As a bonus I got to shake his (big) hand as he was walked in.

Good tutorial. But.....the name of the song is NOT what i'd say. It is what'd I say. Big difference between 'WHAT I WOULD SAY' VS. 'WHAT DID I SAY'. It's a minor complaint, but a big mistake for someone who seems to be an accomplished pianist.

Very good, apart from one thing I couldn't follow. It's not clear what the left hand is playing on the final two bars: B7->A7. Do I still play "the bass riff" or just hold chords in the left hand?

Nice! But in a tutorial video, you should go a little bit slower.. needed to change video speed to figure it out what was going on the right hand..

Really slow is my kinda fast..... The notes are mysterious, he won't tell them to you. You àre expected to know already. Not for intermediates, or beginners. There is a small possibility to pause fast enough to se3 though..

Great video I love music theory so this solicited a lot of confusing concepts into a visual and audio break down I could understand and your good at explaining the notes relationship to each other.

I’m simply a intermediate type player in general but just starting to want to learn blues piano 🎹 and some coordination drills for combining left and right hand runs licks etc…would love to start out with some slow blues perhaps with one chord left hand with some right hand runs licks etc to start…thanks ❤so much and look forward to viewing your channel for upcoming lessons with this in mind thanks 🙏

Great video but we needed the right hand as detailed as the left one. Seems to me sometimes he does certain moves and sometimes he does't, which confuses me hah

The bass line “pushes” on the second bar if you are hanging out there but hits the downbeat with every chord change, but you changed the left pattern in the middle of this video. Then went back to the LH push again. Great concepts … I need to watch again to get it all.
