How would you use this with 2x6 rails using simpson connection tie?
ОтветитьI have a customer that wants "rot proof posts" due to termites/heavy storms/hurricanes and these PM Posts would fit the bill while still following HOA requirements of 6' wood dog-eared pickets/boards. Location is slightly inland of NC Coast(Jacksonville). Would you recommend them for sandy soil? I plan on 4'+ deep and 6' centers(pounded, not driven unless you say otherwise). Your fence challenges are perfect for the jobsite breaks. Fun, educational and entertaining. Thanks! -Brian
ОтветитьHow would you install with a sloped yard? Thanks!
Ответитьi dont think id pay $100 for each of those. rather treat the wood and expand the lifespan
Ответить$94.00 for one post? No thank you.
ОтветитьCan you bend them to make slight turns in your fence?
ОтветитьFriends dont let friends use wood in the ground
ОтветитьWhat about rust?
Every galvanised product I have seen in peoples garden rusts through - especially where I live close to the sea.
Well…
8 ft between vertical metal poles is a long way for a fence plank that is .5” thk. Notice on the video there is a ripped 2x4 at 4’ to tie the planks. And it does not anchor into the ground. not good enough. All the planks will warp together. Not a straight fence in my opinion. Good try but a revision is required to this idea. I’m working on something myself.
This is a great video. THANK YOU for this information.
ОтветитьDoes it rot by the ocean front properties?
ОтветитьI want to work for you guys super cool
ОтветитьI live in Austin Texas area and the wood posts haven't lasted for two or three years every two or three years I have had to replace several of mine I'm ready to move on however I have to make sure I don't get in trouble with my HOA. 🤪💩
Ответить😂 Great Video. On a scale of 1-5. 10!!! Straight to the point and short 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🙏🏾
ОтветитьAs a fellow salesman, I completely dig your personality and technique.
I'd buy in a heartbeat.
So say for a 200' fence with no gates, how does the cost compare using postmaster vs standard treated material in material and labor?
ОтветитьWill that survive hurricane winds of 70 and higher?
ОтветитьHilarious
Ответитьthe post is 4$ the the steel post is 35$, you forgot that part buddy
ОтветитьNice comparing a incorrectly installed wood post to a correctly installed metal one. Dad and grandpa installed one 35 years ago house sold abou 10 years ago and fence still looking great
ОтветитьWow! I'm 66 years old. At that price I don't care if my wood posts don't last
Ответитьis 1.5 ft really deep enough in just the earth??? In the denver area so probably similar to your area(but with less wind lol)
ОтветитьWho has the money for that? $90 for one 7ft post ! I don't think so !
ОтветитьThat would be great if I were a millionaire!
Ответить👍🏾
Ответить$45 for 1 and you need the $1000 tool to drive them.
ОтветитьGWhat would you recommend using for fence posts if these steel fence posts aren't available and you can't find any other kinds of steel posts but the posts you find are only wood posts and there is no warranty so what about how to get long life out of the wood posts to lasat as long as the steel posts in your video if its really true?
Ответитьi think its a great product, however at 120$ for one 9' pole makes every 8 foot about $300 , now unless i read the website wrong, to rich for my blood. Still an awesome product and I do enjoy your videos .
ОтветитьHave you ever set those posts into the cores of a cinder block retaining wall? As long as there’s at least 24” of depth, I would think it would be ok?
ОтветитьMan this guy is hilarious & insightful! I love him 😭❤️
ОтветитьGreat idea and far superior than wood but I can get 10 pressure treated wood posts for about the same price as one of these steel posts. Expensive for all but the smallest of jobs.
ОтветитьIf you are building a friendly nieghbor fence where the fence boards go on one side and then the other side are the post set the same way?
ОтветитьI build mine using galvanized steel chain link post 2" diameter for 1/4 the cost of that.
ОтветитьYou mentioned in the video that these can be used with a corrugated metal fence, any installation videos for that route? Thanks!
Ответить80 bucks though at every 6 ft? yikes
ОтветитьI'm thinking you could cut these in half, and screw the cedar posts above ground to that. Best of both.
ОтветитьAll I got from this video is that you don’t know how to treat wood
ОтветитьOf course untreated cedar 4x4 posts will rot in the ground, but what about pressure treated wood posts? I know you'll say they'll still fail eventually, but I've heard they can last as long as any other material, including steel. Thoughts?
ОтветитьSouth Texas price is $44.24 for a 1-3/4 in x 3-1/2 in x 7-1/2 ft in OCTOBER 2022. What prices, for ur location?
ОтветитьIf you do use cedar posts, there are several things you can do to prevent them from rotting: coat them in a wood preservative, slope concrete away from post, caulk where concrete meets post, and ensure there is drainage below the concrete.
ОтветитьGreat video I’m just having a hard time trying to find these fence posts in my area where I live over here just north of Destin Florida they’re like unicorns
ОтветитьHow deep does it need to be in the ground if setting a postmaster in concrete?
ОтветитьI'm glad I saw this. Been getting fence quotes for a few weeks. Definitely switching to this idea.
ОтветитьSo I want to do a 6ft privacy fence in Oklahoma, frost line average 18inch, could I use your 8ft post and drive them in? Your 9s are all sold out. My ground is pretty soft, not rocky at all.
ОтветитьHello SWI. I recently purchased a titan post driver and it comes with a barrell of 2". I want to use postmaster but cant find a different sleeve/barrel adapter that i can replace it online. Any idea of where i can find one that fits. Ive seen it used on another video. Thanks again. Keep up the good content.
ОтветитьThe sad thing is you have to buy a thousand dollar driver to pound it in, I couldn't find a manual driver to fit the postmaster post. Bummer.
ОтветитьWood on steel posts are the best whether using those or 2-3/8".
ОтветитьBent first year in service during windstorm while adjacent 4x4 wood post fences were fine.
ОтветитьCan you ship those to PA? Is there a quantity discount? Cause I need mucho.
ОтветитьLol !!! 😆
