В Ютубе есть видео нападения достаточно крупного крокодила на мелкого варана в котором показано что крокодил не смог его убить. Долго его трепал а потом выплюнул. И варан спокойно ушёл. С комодским вараном такое не прокатит точно. Не думаю что лев сможет убить комодского варана если даже у крокодила с более мелким такого не получилось.

Edit The 166 kg is also misleading. The Komodo that weighed 166 kg is the largest one ever on record that had just swallowed another animal. Typically they're about 150 lbs.

This is a no brainer. At best it would be a tie. No matter what the Lion would kill the Komodo Dragon. Then if by chance the dragon got a good bite, the Lion would die days later possibly. Lion is too strong, quick and ferocious for a Komodo Dragon. End of story.

The only place where lions and Komodos are found together is in a zoo, so if there was a fight the zoo is very inefficient. If this sort of thing happens often, it should be closed down. Some ofthe lizards depicted are not Komodos, but smaller species of monitor lizard, some of which are found in Africa. A fight between a monitor lizard and a lion is not a fair fight, the lion is much larger.
