Years ago I went to an ob-gyn that was a referral from my health plan. The women in the waiting room told me I would love Dr. X. When I went in to see him, I told him it hurts when I have intercourse (I was in my 60s at the time). He said, it hurts because you're not doing it enough, basically use it or lose it. He recommended a silicon based lubricant, told me I had to educate my younger boyfriend about older women, and good luck. I love Dr. X.

Went through menopause 10 years ago. I'm 68 and have no symptoms except dryness. I can't believe they call it atrophy!! It almost makes me angry. Do they have something equally disgusting to call one of the man problems 😂 Yuva Fem vaginal tablets work with no side effects for me. I only use one a week because I wanted to use the least amount as possible to resolve the symptom. It also cuts down on the cost. I tried the cream a few years ago and stopped as it made me feel hormonal again. But there are probably different versions of everything.

Another point to be made in the issues regarding the reasons for the acceleration of vaginal atrophy,
is caffeine consumption, sugars and alcohol…of course these 3 habits in particular must be addressed regarding menopausal and post menopausal issues in their contribution towards the thinning and dryness do to the hormonal changes ……..Any foods and liquids that dehydrate are a culprit…..quality fats and getting a grip on food allergies will help considerably…….a more keto diet and quality fluids throughout the day…

I had introital vulvar lysis in june 2022, I stopped dilating november 2022. I tried to have intercourse, and have small fissures in introitus. I sent a pic to the surgeon, he said to gently dilate for one minute twice a day, even with open fissure. I am not sure if this is safe and am asking for second opinion. thank you! ( my doc is out of state and doesn't take insurance, this is a difficult situation). I do see him for a follow up soon hopefully!
