From rice to rags in heart of Iraq's parched breadbasket

It was once called the Fertile Crescent. The Najaf area south of Baghdad used to feed most of Iraq but this year many farmers didn't even bother to cultivate their fields. Drought has brought water levels to dangerously low levels and with no irrigation, the fields are too parched to plough. A natural sound version of an AFPTV report.
