Karl Pilkington’s doing well for himself.
ОтветитьWhat is the Sabbath note?
ОтветитьO pedal soa bem, o problema é a peça atrás da guitarra.
ОтветитьI saw last Corgan interviews regarding live gear, and he always says that he never uses pedals for rhythm sounds.
In this video he plays a lot of riffs from Gish using the Muff, while Butch Vig says that an ADA preamp was used.. so I am a bit confused.
For sure the sound I hear in this video is not easy to cut through live.
A ripping Big Muff remains THE best distortion sound in my ears.
Ответитьi remember exactly when I bought mine... 5 minutes ago
ОтветитьI listened to Smashing Pumpkins a lot in high school, but I didn't think a lot about gear back then, mostly because I was stuck with what I had. Now that I've been able to choose my gear, I realize that I have similar taste to him. I knew he used a lot of fuzz, but that's about it. I definitely enjoy fuzz, but the main similarities between him and I are maple fretboard strats and rail style mini humbuckers. I didn't even realize he played a strat with rails until after I got mine. I bought a player plus Stratocaster with a maple fretboard, and then I installed a hot rail in the bridge position and put a black pickguard on my Olympic pearl (Olympic white with a slight sparkle) strat. Recently, I looked up his gear and saw that he had a signature white strat with a black pickguard and 3 rail single coil-sized humbuckers. I could have just bought his signature guitar lol (although I really like having single coils in the middle and neck position).
ОтветитьOk, so I got it recently 😁😎 Thanks BiIlly and EHX 👍
ОтветитьI’ve got one of those Reverend BC1 Billy Corgan signature guitars in “white“ seeing this video after a couple of years is pretty depressing as both the first one and the replacement they sent me are a really unpleasant tobacco yellow now.
😢
Nice interview.
ОтветитьI can’t believe I waited 5 yrs to finally get one of these pedals!!! The guitar sound on Siamese Dream is absolutely incredible !!!
This is the coolest non signature/ signature pedal ever, and I LOVE IT!!! ❤🤘 🤘🤘🤘🤘🎸 🔥 🔥🔥🔥
"Well it's your fault"
And it still is, he's the reason I'm getting one 😂
When the fuzz kicks in after the clean intro on Mayonnaise…that’s a very special moment right there.
ОтветитьJust ordered one, I’ll be using it for bass though mostly. The uad Bermuda Triangle sold me on big muffs.
ОтветитьThis Op Amp will Rip your ears off . Its a NO
ОтветитьSuch a good segment. I was absolutely obsessed with the Pumpkins from about 93 to 98 so hearing those tones happen live is amazing. Billy is a complicated guy; this is him at his best.
Ответить"its your fault!"
🤣🤣🤣
Big Muff Lovers unite
ОтветитьThat guitar is raunchy... I want it.
ОтветитьSold!
ОтветитьGreat story!!
ОтветитьDidn't know Norm Macdonald's brother played guitar.
ОтветитьWow this is cool.. I bought this exact pedal last week. Cool to see BC actually reviewing it!!
ОтветитьHow can I recreate this tone without a Marshall amp? Low gain pedal into this EH Muff into a combo?
ОтветитьI got the real big muff pedal, what are the pickups in the Billy strat?
ОтветитьHahahaha! "Well, its your fault". He's got ya there, man.
ОтветитьI don’t care what my mum says, I love billy corgan
ОтветитьImagine being that awesome
ОтветитьI called this the Pumpkin Pie muff
ОтветитьBilly Corgan looks like Norm Macdonald.
ОтветитьButch Vig seems to have that attitude about, 'there's no way', which is why sometimes his engineer choices alter a record that could have sounded better. I'm glad he didn't listen to him.
ОтветитьCorgans tone is RIGHT there with Hendrix, Sabbath and EVH......because it's so hard to grab and ride it.....like chasing your tail in circles.
ОтветитьHe meant Catherine Wheel right?
ОтветитьThis is one of those tones that I love in a mix but when I'm playing it myself I don't like it and have no idea what to do with it. gives me no inspiration. that's just a testament to Billy's creativity
ОтветитьCream; Disraeli Gears.
Clapton, a Marshall, and an SG.
That's all.
could anyone tell me where the first riff is from? it sounds so amazing.
ОтветитьThat is silver & black isn't the op amp. The op amp has 3 gain stages with a toggle switch to take out the tone control. The original silver & black has 4 gain stages. The Nano Big Muff is the reissue which is white & black.
ОтветитьThat’s one of the best tones that has ever come out
ОтветитьAlways wondered why that guitar sounded like that by Smashing Pumpkins.
I don't play guitar. Just thinking about buying one and learning. Great video thanks! 👍
Mudhoney brought me to the bigmuff..and the superfuzz....we all love the fuzzzzzz
ОтветитьIown andlovethis pedal
ОтветитьUnderrated guitar player
ОтветитьI always wondered how they got that sound on Siamese Dreams, it was a unique sound at the time. Great album.
ОтветитьEgo maniac
ОтветитьHands down best muff fuzz pedal and it is cheap as chips too. All those harmonics are off the chart, fantastic pedal for the money.
ОтветитьI got my big silver box big muff @ a pawn shop for $35
ОтветитьThe Billy knows all, sees all, this pedal came to him in a disco glitter glue sniffing vision
