I only went to Pizza Hut 3 times as a kid. Once at a big city, and twice in my small hometown. The difference was night and day, because my hometown on had no giant arcade section.
ОтветитьI remembered as kid go there huge pizza buffet even salad bar arcade machines waiting line cover grease of joysticks 🕹 😂😂😂 but i have moments as kid 😅
ОтветитьGOD i never thought id see this again i miss old pizza hut lol it really was great then they started cheaping out on ingredient my sisters ex used to work their and he told me what was going on. as they where replacing certain ingredients and it was getting depressing. it was so sad cause again they used to be so good they used to care
ОтветитьUsed to be a full blown diner style restaurant in my area but now they’re all franchise chains owned by certain people. Not to say anything offensive
ОтветитьAnybody remember Book it? Free personal pizza for reading a certain amount of books
ОтветитьThe good ol' days back between 04-10...
ОтветитьI miss the 90s
ОтветитьCheaper is not always better, if your experience is what defines your restraunt then sticking to that experience and trying to add incentives to engage in that experience seems like a way better strategy then lessoning quality to compete with a barebones joint. Unfortunately business rarely get it right on how to effectively compete with fresh competitors.
ОтветитьBeing there as a child was nice
ОтветитьPizza Hut is thriving in China
ОтветитьThey still have sit down pizza huts but they are so rare,I used to love sit down pizza huts I actually worked in one.
ОтветитьThe pizzas used to not be greasy, they were fluffy and had so much cheese and tasted so good. The bread sticks were always banging and the soda cold. Seeing it go down hill so fast was sad. I got a new favorite spot now but i miss the old Pizza hut an the way they used to make them
ОтветитьThey didn't have to change anything. If they brought back the old buffet style pizza huts, they would be a massive success. But corporate big wigs have no balls.
ОтветитьOh so full of it. Pizza hut is one of the most expensive pizza places out there yet they barely use any toppings. The only reason they're struggling now is because they charge premium prices for little caesar's-type pizza. I hope they do go under soon. Wild to insinuate they're actually trying to compete with budget pizza brands😂
ОтветитьTo summarize : The free market, this sort of "lowering prices to undercut competition" bs is only an american thing, we still have the stained glass and large booths in europe :)
ОтветитьThey had TMNT arcade at mine i remember playing them while waiting for pizza
ОтветитьBlaming little Caesars and not the browns lmao okay juden
ОтветитьI remember the early 2000s pizza hut experience being pretty great too....
ОтветитьI wish we still had this. Block Buster too. Things will never be like they used to be 😔
ОтветитьThat pizza was different. It was the best pizza
Ответитьas someone who experienced this, pizza hut was always garbage greasy pizza.
ОтветитьThey shoulda just kept it the same Lil Ceaser is shit
ОтветитьI has spaghetti pizza from Pizza Hut, the good old days
ОтветитьEdit for clarity, the main relative i am reffering to was a general manager for a stand alone store for nearly 25 years.
This video sucks, not only do most stand alone pizzahuts still have sit down booths, they also have stained glass lighting (i worked at a pizzahut renovated in the 2010s and new stained glass lights were put in) AND real silverware.
2 it wasnt a salad bar, it was a buffet. If it was a salad bar then there wouldnt have been room for the pizzas (they need to bring the lunch/dinner buffet back)
3 i have relatives who worked at pizzahut in the 80s, ive also watched offical training videos from the 80s, unless it was something that owners opted into themselves, there was no official training for finishing the pizza in front of the customer, cutting and finishing was done in back.
4 the arcade games went away due to declining popularity. The american consumer overtime opted for a stay at home pizza experience with games they could play for no extra cost
5 it was not sudden, all of these changes, real or fake ones, wouldve been gradual.
I remember going to Pizza Hut as a kid in the 80s and 90s but don’t ever remember them slicing the pizza at the table. I do remember them plating the first slice for everyone. I also remember the buffet
ОтветитьA lot things that we took granted for in the 80s and 90s, don't exist anymore.
ОтветитьMy coworkers and I found one that still does the lunch buffet and we go up there periodically. Im the only one under 40(23) so I'm kinda in it just for the food
Ответитьlike i said to my girl earlier. society hates society but demands others to partake. so places need the public to function well hating the public for existing. thus you get places like dq that are tiny little buildings barebones and they have 3 seats outside. why oh cause fuck being in public if you inpublic your a criminal even the cops relay it clearly. unless you look to sad or unhappy to be deemed a worker. then they hate you unless your in or live in a tourist trap then they hate you but have to act nice and not be judgy.
ОтветитьBack in the day going to Pizza Hut was exciting and fun as a kid
Ответитьwe used to go trick or treating on Halloween every year then my family and my friend's family would go to pizza hut for dinner afterwards. Still stands as some of my favorite memories as a kid. We traded good food and ambiance for shitty food and convenience.
ОтветитьNostalgia
ОтветитьLoved the lunch buffet as a kid! The dessert pizzas were amazing
ОтветитьGen Z will never know this level of joy.
ОтветитьOnce they changed the recipes to cut prices they lost the loyal consumers.
ОтветитьUsed to be the go to for pizza man atleast once a month we would go. Games in the corner pizza was top tier i miss 90s restaurants they where different
Ответитьdid i just see someone use a fork to dip a breadstick?
ОтветитьIts a shame, pizza hut also tastes like shit now. Used to be my favorite pizza back in early 2000s
ОтветитьPizza Hut salad bar was lit
ОтветитьPizza Hutt just clossed all locations on my country, they were the number 1, had amazin locations with cozzy places to eat, after pandemic they changed all locations to look like taco bells or something like that and their pizza became trash at luxury price. papa johns is going the same way.
ОтветитьNo style
No personality
No soul
Perfect for the corporate world.
OMG...how can this guy neglect to remind us how great Pizza Hut's "all you can eat lunch buffet" use to be and those mojo potatoes, excellent salad bar all you can eat pizza all for 8.99 (back in the day when life was soo much better).
ОтветитьNow my Pizza Hut is litterly just the cashier and a bathroom no tables
ОтветитьPizza Hut in the 90s with the best
ОтветитьThose red plastic soda cups
ОтветитьGod I miss this so much
ОтветитьThis is where Pepsi and pepperoni pizza became a mixed healthy mush in your mouth parts.
ОтветитьThey killed it by giving you takeout deals like you could get a 10$ pizza to go but when you sat down it was 16$ :/ so sit in restaurant you paid full price. Order it as to go it was majorly cheaper.
ОтветитьWhen resturaunts cared
ОтветитьWe used to be a real country
ОтветитьThey killed their brand. Now they are irrelevant:(
