Hyperion near Orick is 372 foot tall.
ОтветитьGreat video of the area I live in! I noticed the video is 3 years old so just a heads up that now you have to make appointments to visit both the Tall Trees Grove and Fern Canyon, whereas before you just had to stop and get a code for Tall Trees and just show up at Fern Canyon. Also, sometimes the water is too high for making the water crossing on the way to Fern Canyon, in which case you have to park and walk in from the water crossing.
ОтветитьHey great video! I was wondering how is the weather during February to visit the Redwoods?
ОтветитьThanks for the info going tommorow been waiting 55 year to see this place, im from Pennsylvania, ya did a great job on info
ОтветитьVery informative; great video
ОтветитьHi California through my lens you can now find California condors at Redwood NPS.
ОтветитьI went to school in Humboldt and that fact any of the Forest are named after foreigners still bothers me but it’s an amazing experience as a divine hi my an being to be present amongst some of the oldest living things on the planet
ОтветитьNext time you go up i5 near Mt. Shasta you should do a video of Castle Crags State Park. Don't hear to much about this park.

And it' s burning now! 😒
ОтветитьLiving in Fortuna, I get to see this all the time. Lived here since '72 and I still haven't seen it all. Seen the Dyerville Giant and the Flatiron trees before they fell. I hope you stopped by Dyerville Grove and Rockefeller Forest on your way through. Avenue of the Giants is also a must drive. Since it parallels 101, there's no reason to miss that.
ОтветитьThanks for the video!

ОтветитьDo you recall which hotel you stayed at in Crescent City and would you recommend it?
ОтветитьI finally learned what your second channel is called. This video popped up in my feed & I have subscribed. I had an aunt & uncle who first lived in Arcadia, and then Tehachapi.
ОтветитьBig Basin National Park has some massive redwoods and a couple of nice waterfalls. It is located about 40 min from San Jose and 90 min from San Francisco.
ОтветитьExcellent video, thanks! 😃
ОтветитьCan you walk off the beaten trail or is that "illegal"?
ОтветитьThanks for awesome filming, My wife and I will planning to visit the park(we are from Seattle) in February. We hope for fair weather.
ОтветитьWhen the Dyerville giant, a tree in the southern part of the park, blew down in a storm a few years ago, there was mud splattered up to sixty feet high on the sides of other redwoods hundreds of feet away. Must've been an amazing sight if anybody had actually been there to see it. I personally have been in the redwoods during an earthquake and was able to witness a huge redwood vibrate like a giant guitar string moving over a foot to each side near the ground! Love your channel, love your attitude, keep up the great work!
