Google Captcha is never about detecting the lights, rather detecting the cursor movements. Regular user has stakyness in the cursor movement, delays in decision making etc.

the "are you a robot" captha, is not about solving it, it is about how you move the mouse (a bot will always take a strait line, a human is not able to move the mouse in a perfectly strait line)
