I'm confused. So he hires other production companies, but he can still claim the work under his production company?
ОтветитьI did two LLC Co's. The first I had a partner that messed well with my skill set. We did a few things, but we were undisciplined on certain business things, and eventually I ended my partnership due to other things. The second I started myself, but I was reaching for something out of desperation more than a goal. I felt that there was no one to mentor me, but in hindsight I get easily frustrated when I can't move forward for whatever reason. I helped others with their projects, and so far I've seen more positive & learning experience that way.
ОтветитьNon related topic, but his back pain could actually be his lungs. The lungs are closer to the back muscles and spinal cord, hope that helps anyone experiencing the same.
ОтветитьBro could have explain what the llc is for its base purposes is so that one can get financial backing from the bank once you show the bank your business has made money then once you end the movie you go right back make another business name for your next film simple!
ОтветитьGreat Interview 😊
ОтветитьI started my production company Red Bus Movies Ltd, during COVID. It's been a struggle, but we're on course to shoot three films in 2024.
ОтветитьThe interviewer was so helpful in properly articulating and expounding on the guest's responses. That was the saving grace.
ОтветитьYo, as an aspiring producer myself... I can tell I hav my work cut out for me, but this is very encouraging & aspiring.
ОтветитьGreat interview!! The interviewer was so respectful!! 👍
Ответить👍🏼
ОтветитьIt's not like the old days anymore, to start a company, all you need is to register the business and get a bank account for the business. You don't need an actual studio space, employees, equipment, a secretary, coffee machine, HR department, or anything else. Once you get production funding, then you can hire the people you need and get the equipment.
ОтветитьThis wasn’t a interview on “how to start a production company “ to much random conversation off topic
ОтветитьThis is inspiring! ;-)
Ответить💎💎💎
ОтветитьAlways inspiring ! Glad to see so many aspiring production company's here :)
ОтветитьThank Antoine
ОтветитьIncredibly useful information here! A lot of love and respect to Antione as well🌹👏🏾🤩
Ответитьshii im starting today just been researching like a mf wanna get into videography, photography and maybe even acting
ОтветитьI love this interview sm
ОтветитьThis was quite helpful. Thanks Antoine!
ОтветитьI hope to start my own animation production company someday but I want to build up experience, get friends, & improve my writing skills before I do so.
ОтветитьHey are there any people from New Zealand who wants to connect with me and potentially help build a film production company? If you are not from New Zealand I may be still interested in connecting/collaborating 😊🙏
ОтветитьSo much bullshit
ОтветитьHeard nothing new, or insightful. This lets me know I'm in a good place
ОтветитьMr. Antoine Allen freakin rules.
ОтветитьI want to start my own product on company but I don't have any of the skills it take to run it. The way Mr. Allen hires out the professionals is how I wanted to do it. But I'm still stuck on how to get started. I went to the local small business administration and they mostly want you to do the business plan, market analysis, all that technical stuff. All of that research stuff discouraged me. Its like they focused on mostly what I don't have instead of telling me who I needed to connect myself with. This video has been helpful. I have so many stories to tell and want to help others tell their story. Thanks for this channel and these interviews. It helps.
Ответитьyou can also just get a DBA for each film. YOUR LLC doing business as SHORT FILM DBA. That's all you need for a business bank account, just a DBA and those are like $30-50.
ОтветитьWhat's the difference between Inc. & LLC? Great Vid💯
ОтветитьSo glad I tuned in to this!!!!!
ОтветитьI’d heard of legalzoom before, but it’s awesome that he says go there. I absolutely love this dude. You can tell he’s living life the way he wants. I’m getting there, but have some work to do on myself. We’ll see.
ОтветитьSo an LLC for the production company. An LLC, for the movie and an LLC for the bank account? What's the business purpose of the bank account?
Ответитьyes I'm putting together a film production company as well but it has a lot of twist and turn to it...I am going to trademark the name as well...great advice
ОтветитьSo let me get this straight, you said for each film project, I should open an LLC specifically for that film project? Do I still keep it open or should I close it once the film has been completed and distributed?
ОтветитьWhat key people do you need to do your movie?
1. Producer
2. Camera man
3. Lighting & soun
4. What's else for a minimum crew?
Since you paid for everything are they willing to give budgets readily?
If any one has any good links for that please share
This interview is speaking to me on so many levels. Thank you!
ОтветитьThank you for the enlightenment.
ОтветитьThank you so much for this advice
ОтветитьI had to start my company MP Hafner Entertainment because I thought of an animation series, got help from two writers (one is a old classmate of mine and the other a professor of literature that I studied under) and was able to pitch to one of the biggest animation production companies in Asia to help produce the series. I did everything this gentleman stated and I too have a wife who is awesome support. I got a business partner now who is helping me developing more animation projects and we are going to be developing live action films. I did not think of being in this position 2 years ago. I'm learning the business day by day. Biggest lesson I've learned so far is get people who know/do things in the industry and let them do it. Don't by a tyrant. Another thing is protect your IPs. The film industry is full of sharks.
ОтветитьCovid half killed me. It killed my mom. I was able to bounce back, but I still have Long Covid like him over a year later.
ОтветитьFilmmaker in Ohio here gonna take his advice and get started on my first film! If anyone else is in Ohio and looking to make movies let me know
ОтветитьGreat story! Best wishes on your filmmaking journey!
ОтветитьAntoine, good for you. I just watched the trailer. Powerful. Thank you
ОтветитьA lot of us that come from similar backgrounds as the black filmmakers you put on talk about things we need to know. Keep these diamonds shining for their brilliance helps us reflect ours.
ОтветитьI like that he is to the point and gives practical answers. But I wonder why he seems like he is in such a bad mood or doesn't want to be interviewed?
ОтветитьThanks for this! New hero.
Ответитьplease interview some animators or animaton producers as well
ОтветитьA lot of the same advice applies to producing your own comic books, as well... Good to see that all his hard work is paying off for him.
ОтветитьDam
ОтветитьHey Film Courage, I always love his interviews. I've learned a lot from him. Can you upload the FuLL interview please.
ОтветитьI would caution anyone to NOT go through Legal Zoom. Please don't.
