Why the F do people feel the need to touch the horse? They clearly do not get it, it's a working animal at work! Would they go pet a police dog?!

I don't understand these peoples mentality that think its funny to harass the guards or their horses. There should be a clear perimeter around the guards that the public should not be able to pass. Take your stupid selfies from ten feet away.

No wonder this seems to happen every day, there are no consequences.
A royal guard with his sword drawn... Heavily armed police who don't intervene, and here the whole world learns that the most you get is a little shouting.

People who want to get close to the horse don't think what would happen if the guard had to suddenly go into action. Those tourists would be trampled on by that horse so fast. There's no reason for anyone to stand that close.

Her face as she's walking away from the horse tells us exactly what kind of young lady she is. Entitled, spoiled & thinking she can do anything she wants with no repercussions. I wish she had been arrested or at least ticketed.
I wish the officers had at least warned her about touching the 💂‍♂️ horses.

I am an American and thru my genealogy research I found the story that one of my ancestors cut down an apple tree to make a fine hairbrush out of the wood for the king of England's horse, the penalty for cutting down the king's tree was a choice of beheading or deportation to America.

Horses smell people's character and when they don't like someone they show it right away, once they have shown their dislike, you better move away or get ready for a bite or a kick.

That wasn’t a hit, it was actually an appropriate response to a horse trying to bite. The first correction was justified, she should have walked away instead of staying there for the horse to try to bite her two more times.

The horse needs a break, this behavior will only escalate. When I say a break, I mean a break as in a few weeks off. If the horse can’t handle the stress of the job, they need to find him a new job.

That is a rough job for a horse. It’s physically difficult, standing for long periods on concrete, especially with a rider and gear is difficult in the same way it is for us to stand in one place without moving for a long time.

The job is mentally extremely challenging. Horses are prey animals. It takes a lot of trust in the rider for a horse to stand with so many unknown predators surrounding him.

I know it’s tradition for the guards to not speak or move, however they need to allow these riders to send people away before something has a chance to escalate as happened in this incident. Just a poor set of circumstances all around.

I suspect the woman is a horsewoman with the way she responded to the horse trying to bite her. As a horsewoman she should have known to give the horse space after the horse tried to bite her the first time. In her defense though, she may have in the past or even current timeframe of this event had a nippy horse. If so, she might not even have registered that the horse was doing it at first. When you have a mouthy horse, you do like she did. A little slap/block and keep doing what you are doing.

Second video I’ve seen tonight of a guard’s horse trying to bite people. They really shouldn’t allow people that close to the horses to start with. When a horse starts to bite it needs to be rotated out for rest and the retraining. The guard has plenty horses so that shouldn’t be an issue.

If that was an American war dog, there would be a very fast and different outcome. These cavalry horses need more legal protection.
