ОтветитьThe best rockabilly band ever still listening to them in 2023 from 1980. Always have always will. Brian Setzer is underated as a greatest guitarist and singer. So original and a legend. Up there with Elvis Buddy Holly etc.

ОтветитьRockabilly revivalists at the same time as New wave, post punk, ska, reggae and Brit soul. It shouldn't have worked, but it did. It truly was a great time for music. I read somewhere that these were a fantastic live band.

Just fucking magnificent
I turned 12 at the end of 1980 and remember seeing Stray Cats on TOTPs.
They really weren’t my cup of tea but I did, even at that age, think they looked extraordinary.
No one had tattoos or looked like them in 80. No pop band anyway.
They’re still not my thing but remain impressed at the image. Superficial I know.
Saw them on their first UK 🇬🇧 tour, fucking brilliant. Rocking and fighting with the Skins and punks, loved it.
ОтветитьWell i was defo more mod than rocker music taste wise as a teen but i had a soft spot for these guys what the hell great song brian giving billy idol a run for his money in the hair stakes.
ОтветитьSaw them do this in Hanley UK where they were excellent, my ears rung with this for weeks.
ОтветитьI was a punk back in those days & these guys blew me away. 🎶😎
ОтветитьВысший пилотаж !
ОтветитьWe love playing a cover of Runaway Boys. This is the song that got me into The Stray Cats at school.
ОтветитьMy favourite stray cats song xxxx
ОтветитьSaw the Stray Cats in London, December 1980.
They were magnificent. If early Elvis and Gene Vincent had be reborn,
this is how it would sound. Forty years has done nothing to diminish
this track. Brian Seltzer, what a great guitarist!
I was a ted til the cats came along , awesome!! made the whole scene rockin again ...it pissed off the old teds an then they hated on us younguns, I was 17 and we had a fuckin ball.... and still do!
