Is there a way to plane cut but leave keyed shapes or pins so when they are glued, they'd fit exactly?
ОтветитьI had no idea how to use the shell separation with plane cut -- I was creating multiple copies and deleting alternating halves. Thanks for saving my forehead the pain of being repeatedly mashed into my desk!
ОтветитьWhile watching everything that is done to the bunny, I can't help thinking about the movie Con Air and the bunny in the movie. Nobody move or the bunny gets it!
Ответитьi think this is a really hard program to run. Nothing works like you think and you can't really "just figure it out it". I don't think it's very user friendly. But it is a really good program if you learn to use it.
ОтветитьHi, loved the video.. But i also have a small question.
I have asked a modeler on fiverr to create a model for me. But when i enlarge it it loses some detail in cura. I can remember that you made a video specially about this. Enlarging small models and keep the smalest details in meshmixer, but i cant find it anymore 🙈 Could you point me towards it maybe? Thanks !! ☺
5 years old?
What a find.
SO struggling with fusion 360, I have started and given up at least 5 times..
Considering I design printed boards using CAD, you think I'd pick it up... Nope... :)
How do you get files from games?
ОтветитьNow that it's become unsupported, is there anything free to replace it with?
ОтветитьThe main issue I have is when I export my model from my iPad Shapr3D to Meshmixer on mac. It tends to automatically smooth out my model and pixelate my text on model. Can anyone help?
ОтветитьYour commentary was very easy to understand and very nice.
Thank you very much ありがとう
Can meshmixer do a STL to solid and cleanup the triangles like fusion 360?
ОтветитьI can't think of a video I've watched lately that deserves a thumbs-up as much as this one. Concise, useful, close-ups of the drop-down menus so we can see what is happening, no mucking about. You should win some sort of award.
ОтветитьI know this video is really old, but is the cutting on a plane, technique possible in fusion 360? Or any other software available for mac? I have a project that is a 3D map Made from my drone, but I'd like to cut off the handful of lightpoles, as I think they are terrible looking.
ОтветитьI did not know you can isolate a plane cut. Ty very very much. Opens up a whole lot for me. Appreciate it.
ОтветитьHow can I use this to shrink parts without making it to thin?
Ответитьgreat video... please let us know if you have done a video in the past or planning to do one in future as a tutorial for meshmixer
ОтветитьThank you so much.
ОтветитьYES, I too would love to see more Meshmixer tutorials
ОтветитьCool video, and I love the shirt.
ОтветитьAnti-virus flagged this file as malicious: Adware.Hebogo.Win32.1912
Anyone else have had problems with the download?
I like the way he says Zed instead of Zee. Felt good like English/Indian (British/East India)
But he saying multai instead of multee is sad
Where to get that problem file?
Ответить✅
ОтветитьYou absolute star stuck for a week on separating parts not anymore, cheers Angus 👍😁
ОтветитьIt would be great to have a set of videos on using the align tools and pivots. You do great videos.
ОтветитьI think with all the new people printing these days I think you should do an updated video on meshmixer. I'm still trying to learn it when I can
Ответить1. Import lots of different formats
2. easily scale
3. plane cut
4. separate or combine shells
5. mesh repair
Did they get rid of meshmixer? Can't seem to find it anymore.
Ответитьreally powerful
Ответитьnice video, thanks!
ОтветитьHi great video! If I was making something with a super rough surface texture like ice glaciers/sculptures, what brush would you recommend the most? The pinching tool maybe? Here is a similar texture that I'm trying to make in meshmixer: @ ... Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!Hi great video! ОтветитьGood
ОтветитьDont give autodesk any ideas. They love hoovering up other peoples software and then charging for it.
ОтветитьI don't know what rock I have been hiding under but this is game changing for me. I've been doing the plane cuts in fusion360 directly until now and exporting separate files. Guess that's still useful in some circumstances but either way, amazing thanks Angus!
Ответить3d builder and meshmixer are two lovers!
ОтветитьNice vid do you know how to make piping and cables at all
ОтветитьJust learning this...wow Autodesk have spent 0 hours to make it easier to pick up.
ОтветитьI bought a obj Modell online and want it hollow for SLA printing. Meshmixer can read obj and export it as stl file but there is the problem : the obj file consists of several parts , all already hollow and with special " joints" for printing them separately but i don't want that. Must i "drill" holes in every top, middle and bottom piece to let the resin flow out, or is there a way to fuse the visible outside shell and get rid of the inside membranes?
ОтветитьSplitting models in two halves is lifesaving in many cases.
ОтветитьHey, thanks for the helpful video! I have a Prusa MK3s and Prusa sent me to check out MeshMixer in a blog post, and I found this. Super helpful. Subscribed.
ОтветитьI'm planning to swim from Brazil to Australia just to shake your hand! Your channel is the best!
ОтветитьHeard "asky" and had to rewind... Maybe it's an Aussie thing, but for 30+ years I've heard it as "ansee" here in the US. I know there's no "n" but figured it was a holdover from a prior iteration of the format that just stuck.
ОтветитьAngus for repairing meshes, what are some other programs I can use? (REALLY bad meshes)
ОтветитьIt’s a lifesaver. I use it every day. Especially your video on Boolean difference to subtract shapes from others was very useful to create pegs to reassemble the parts post print.
ОтветитьThank you for suggesting this software to those new to 3D printing. I don't know what i would do without it.
ОтветитьRidiculous software! Love it - thanks for the video!
ОтветитьI have an STL file and opened it in meshmixer. I wanted to edit that stl with the sculpting tool to push in a small area on the file. But when I select push in it bubbles it out. I want it to look like it's been hit by something and I can't for the life of me figure out how to get the effect I'm looking for can you help me out?
ОтветитьHi could you show how to colour or add texture in Meshmixer plz? Your tutorials are very helpful.
