Dont know what to get. About to order the X-T4 and 16-80. Not sure if this is a good combo or if the smaller 18-55 is better (but I like to be able to shoot wider). Actually I was thinknig of getting the a7R IIIa, but it just felt...welll kind of old, and nothing for a combo of photo and video. X-T4 seems better there. Just worried about the AF. What has the firmware (for both body and lens) done so far? Is it stupid to get this camera in 2023? Give me some other aps-c options .R7? Something else? How about the X-S20? Cheers and have a nice summer, Gordon!
ОтветитьI was let down when I opened the sd card door and seen made in china , this level of camera should have been made in Japan.
ОтветитьI picked up a really nice secondhand copy of the X-T4 about a month ago. I’ve used many of the x series cameras over the years and have always enjoyed using them. Much as it’s a fabulous camera, I’m struggling with the articulating screen. Maybe it’s because I’m used to the tilt screens but I find it awkward. The one model I’ve never tried is the X-T3 and wondered if I lose much by changing to that instead. I don’t really know if the IBIS is a great bonus as I’ve never struggled with models that don’t have it.
Ответить2022 now, and I have just traded in my old XT-2 for a second hand XT-4. (Arriving tomorrow!) Am disappointed it won't have the animal eye option, but it does have the pre shot which I hope does a similar job to the OM-1's Pro Cap and which I really, really want, more so than animal and bird eye focus. The new XT-5 will be available very shortly so will be watching to see what that is like too. Wonder if you will be reviewing it at some point?!
ОтветитьПривет, слушай стоит купить такой фотоаппарат?
ОтветитьIm using Godox x2t for fuji trigger to ad200 flash ,the camera will not let me set the flash to Manual... it will immediately go to TTL. I don't want TTL
ОтветитьAs a candid street shooter, I prefer the older screen.
As a macro photographer, I prefer the new screen.
Solution? Huge monitor mounted on the camera.
2 years later and this is the second best APS-C camera, behind the FujiFilm X-H2S. Amazing.
Ответитьhow is the built-in audio for video? thanks!
Ответитьamazing review thank you i nearly bough the Canon XC15 till i saw this
ОтветитьOoh I hate that fully articulated screen. I'm still with the X-H1 for this very reason. Damn you, FUJI. You were a stills camera first and now you're stepping on your stills photographers toes!
ОтветитьWould this camera be a good camera for photojournalism or would I be better suited by a Sony due to their better auto focus hit rate?
ОтветитьHey Gordon.
Do you own a X-T4 or did you only just have one for review? I have a Canon 6D Mark II and was looking to upgrade at some point but I have also gotten sick and tired of the same cosmetic black look of all of Canons camera's. They all look the same. I really like the black and silver version of this camera.
I got a XT-4 but I'm kinda wishing I got the Xpro-3. I'm more focused on street photography, I just think the xpro 3 for pure street is better...
ОтветитьI actually prefer the flip screen because I can keep it closed and unexposed when I don't need it.
Ответитьwas the woodland walk at Ringmer?
ОтветитьGreat video, i ordered an XT4 last night having had the XT2 since it was released. Nice to see my old haunt of Brighton and the South Downs :)
ОтветитьVery good review!
ОтветитьЕщё один зомбак с волшебным айбисом...да хрен с ним
Ответитьwhy no one talks about the rubbish ibis and the non object AUTOFOCUS...
ОтветитьReview 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
ОтветитьThanks for this review. You got my sub. Cheers!
ОтветитьI have a old 5D Mark 3 Full Frame Camera. Is the Fujifilm X-T4 a good upgrade? Also for low light? Thank you
ОтветитьIf you add an accessory shutter button to your X-T4, make sure that you use thread locker on it or you will certainly lose it. I did that once and so I got another one and put thread locker on it. Never came off again!
ОтветитьYou're a star ⭐
ОтветитьThat was an excellent review 👏
ОтветитьFujifilm - Made in China :)
ОтветитьAfter all this time I still hate that they removed the metering switch.
ОтветитьVery, very informative. Thank you. !
ОтветитьGreat video. Question. Is it made in Japan?
ОтветитьGordon, could you please clarify what do you mean by: "Personally speaking I remain very fond of Fujifilm’s approach and wouldn’t trade a bigger sensor for the overall feature-set of the X-T4 at this price point." Is that , in fact, that you wouldn't trade the X-T4 and the associated shooting experience for a FF sensor? Or you indeed won't renounce to a FF camera for a Fuji X-T4 no matter how fond you are of Fujifilm's approach?
ОтветитьHi Gordon. Thank you for comprehensive Review. I am planning to buy my first mirrorless camera. I have 2 options in my mind, one is Fujifilm XT4 and other one is Sony A7C. what is your opinion.
ОтветитьSting sure is a Fujifilm fan.
ОтветитьCan someone help me, about to pull the trigger on the XT-4, but im struggling to decide which kit lense to go for. I would mostly be taking pictures of cars, do you think the 16-80mm is needed? its only roughly £150 more than the 18-55mm.
ОтветитьVery nice and extremely thorough presentation. I enjoy all your review videos very much. I am vested into the canon RF line but sometimes wish I would have tried my hand in Fuji, wish I could afford both.
ОтветитьImages and video footage was AMAZING!!!
ОтветитьI love Fuji😍😍. Nice presentation 👏👍
ОтветитьVery informative, thank you.
ОтветитьThe top physical dials on X-T2 feel solid and consistent (resistance across SS, ISO , EC). The X-T3 dials felt hollow/cheap/tinny to me. Which do the X-T4 resemble?
ОтветитьMade in China shit !!
ОтветитьBlack colour scratch easier
ОтветитьSo are you telling us that Fujifilm is going Bayer? 🤔 How do you feel about FF cameras getting cheaper and cheaper? Especially since Nikon and Canon are presumably leaving classic dslr behind?
I love my XT-20 but I find it a bit hard to hold even with the grip and unbalance with my Kamlan 50 1.1 v2 (starting to learn manual lense). So I'm thinking about moving to a bigger body like the X-T4 in a few months, but pricing is close to some FF cameras as you said. I like Fujifilm firmware politic, I like their body ergonomic (coming from a Sony NEX camera), primes lens can be expensive though.
Thanks for the review
Great review Gordon.
Due to the fast sensor read can one expect comparatively low distortion in electronic shutter mode?
It disappoints me that few if any reviewers include sensor read speed in reviews as I see nice benefits including silence and higher top shutter speeds for large aperture lenses in daylight for example...
Both benefits I enjoyed on the Sony A9, but ultimately sold that camera due to its poor video features.
Cheers!
Nice
Ответитьis it possible to use this camera for streaming? over 30min? there is a webcam software from fuji
ОтветитьThis and the Panasonic G9 and I'd be a happy camper.
Ответитьthe answer of theis camera is the lumix S5
