It is pronounced Ras Al Ghul, no sh or whatnot, and its actually a pretty stupid name im saying that as a big batman fan, it literally means "the head of the evil spirit" which actually sounds pretty sick in concept but if you're an arabic speaker its just so funny that thats his actual name, not his codename, no no his parents just looked at him and said:
Lets name our beloved kid "Head"
No wonder he's evil I can imagine the bullying he got in school already (and yes its mostly dick jokes)

At least they got Talia right, that's an actual name, and not just the arabic translation for "head"

I think it's a bit of a shame that Crisis of Infinite Earths were made. Never mind that it's a good story, but it marked an end to the era of these comics where the stories could have completed arcs and conclusions, like the original Batman of Earth-Two. I know they still have these soft-reboots of the universe that are supposed to be easy entry points for new readers, but they still carry a lot of baggage from the old stories and the characters are still supposed to be basically the same ones they were before the reboot.

I think it would be nicer, if superhero comics were willing to retire their old universes and start completely anew, only using those old ones for occasional crossovers, limited series, or one-shots. That way each generation could have their Batman or their Superman much like how each Doctor Who fan has their Doctor. I think it would open up a lot of opportunities for storytelling, and fan discussion would be more fun as well when the eras are more clear cut.
