ОтветитьHow does one decipher when reading Russian printed text when to pronounce the letter Ye as "Eee" and not "Ye" as it's designated? E.g. the female name Ekaterina is pronounced with a 'Y' at the beginning as the Russian alphabet says, yet the other letter 'E' in the name isn't.
From what I can see, most of the time, one pronounces it as it looks, like the latin letter "Eee", which is a bit tricky to understand as a complete beginner when learning the Russian alphabet as you learn visually to pronounce E as "Ye".
Currently I just guess.
I've got the same problem with the letter O sometimes being pronounced as "A". As in the Russian word for milk - Moloko is actually pronounced "Molako". I find it very difficult to know how to learn letters that aren't pronounced how the letter is designated in the alphabet.
I'm hoping it's not just me!
благодарю вас🙏

ОтветитьHi Janey, I'm glad you're still here!!! :- DDDD
ОтветитьThank you, this was excellent. I tried reading Russian repeatedly. First a book I already knew in Czech (Незнайка). Then articles at Wikipedia. I never bothered to learn azbuka. I lately got the feeling I finally figured it out, and I must proudly say that so far I got it right, based solely on words that reminded me of Czech or international. I think there must be more characters though? Time for more listening.
ОтветитьI'm Russian and you have practically no accent!!!:)))))))))
ОтветитьThank you mummy!
ОтветитьI want to learn it, but it's lil' bit difficult at pronounciation 😂😂😂
ОтветитьLove it, yeah I can practice reading with correct pronunciation. Большое спасибо. Remind me myself when I learn Korean with 6 years old Korean boy. Children book is perfect for learners. 감사합니다 선생님😍
