Nix on the Steamdeck

I wish they would just do a completely independent distro for SteamOS 4.0 insteam of FrankenArch as their approach. Then they can support Distrobox through Atoms, Flatpak, Nix packages, Appimages, etc...

Can someone PLEASE tell me why Nix is so good?? I don't get the hype.

In my native language nix means nothing, so when I say "I put Nix on my Steam Deck" the sentence is a bit confusing %-).

i think it is better to wait for valve to fully support nix packages & not unlock your file system

I'd love to see a video on packing apps that aren't already in the package manager. Awesome content btw!
