Elden Ring - PS1 vs PS5 Comparison

Generally pretty good, but I'd say the framerate is still too high for the PS1 side.

10 years from now, ps5 will be on the right and the PSX Pro 3 will be on the left, and it will be the same difference in graphics.

man imagine the number of disks you would need for Elden ring to fit on ps1 disc.

Man it's crazy just thinking about how much worse the graphics in Elden Ring look when I played it on PS1 back in the day. So happy they did a remake of the game! 10/10

Buuuut too much image flickering and not enough of the amazing PS1 style Dithering. Also, for the models and lighting, look at Vagrant Story. The PS1 could do some real graphical magic indeed.

Pfft, if Elden Ring were released during the time of the PS1, it would've had fully viable mounted combat without that stupid and glitchy mounted stance system that can be broken by enemies.

Back then, gaming culture had not decided to have a shallow-minded phobia of mounted combat yet.

Just imagine having this back then!!!

I’m curious. Is this really done on PS1 technology? I’ve been seeing a rise of retro tech being used (mostly N64 or PS1). Or is this just something made to look like PS1 graphics, but not at all on a PS1 technology?

終於有人做比較版了，這是第一款讓我半夜起床偷玩的遊戲，因為隔天要把遊戲機還給同學。

The “PS1” graphics side looks like it would melt the processor of an actual PS1 if it was ever put on the console. Much the same way DUSK has post processing effects that would kill your 90s PC.


But it’s a good imitation for anyone that hasn’t seen what ps1 games ever looked like
