Cash sales are 60% of total sales. The credit customers will be expected to settle their bills as: 60% of credit sales in the month of sale, 30% of credit sales one month after sale, 10% of credit sales two months after sale. The gross profit margin stands at 70% and it is also expected that rent will be 20m shs for the first three months of the year and 25m shs for the remaining months in the year. Salaries are a total of 36m shs per annum. As of December 2018, the closing balance was a deficit of 80m shs. One of the old debtors has promised to pay them all the balance of 88m shs in may2022. The company will acquire a short term loan of 65m shs from Exim bank in the month of February. The interest on the loan is 8% payable per month beginning one month after the loan has been issued.
Required: prepare a cash budget for the period January to May 2021.
