a quick tip: DO NOT BUY THIN WHITE YARN TO START PRACTICING (you can’t see anything and it is just harder)

Started crocheting about two weeks ago but most channels just assume you know the basic lingo and could just speak the language on the spot and I sure did not so I got confused. This was super helpful! Thanks for posting and slowing down for us who can’t just pick up on the terms on our first project.

This is by far the best tutorial for beginners I have seen. You have covered the bases and your illustrations and explanations are awesome. This will enable me to crochet with confidence. Most tutorials don’t tell you how to count your chains. I appreciate you taking the time to do this and for being so thorough. God bless you!

Funny story...4 years ago I had a generator installed and it required they pull the electric meter. The seal was removed of course. Soo..until the electric company could get out to replace it I put one of those stitch markers that look like a padlock. The electric guy loved it....

the half double was like precalculus- so hard to get right, but everything beyond it came surprisingly easily.

Can you show how to do a slip stitch? I’m very new to crochet and trying to learn the diff stitches and follow what’s supposed to be an easy pattern and it requires a slip stitch. You are the easiest tutorial to follow that I have found!
