Do I need to play lobotomy corp to understand the story of this one?

im sad this is way more different from lobotomy i liked his unique gameplay and now has been downgraded to an normal mobile game

I never played lob corp or Library of Ruina, I only heard of it because of Mili, the band who made the intro (I love me some Mili). But seeing you play this makes me want to check it out :)

Watching you growing from being frightened at HE abnormalities busting out, to letting it out so you can beat it up for benefits, to deliberately unleashing a WAW abnormality early in order to avoid pulling too many strings, and finally to perfectly pulling off your plan to suppress an ALEPH, when you said 'Look at how far we've come', I felt that.

I clearly rember that it was during the Spring Festival of 2019. The city was brimming with the 'atmosphere of a New Lunar Year', yet my depressed mind wandered to the RECKONING nature of New Lunar Year's Eve prior to modern China, to when the end of a lunar year was instead more of an ORDEAL to peasants, who must pay off debts to landlords and loaners by that day or face consequences. The still widely used word '年关'('Year-Pass') connotates how hard it is to safely pass to the new year; it literally spells ORDEAL. And you may have heard of 'Nian', which is a monster in Chinese myths that preys on people on New Lunar Year's Eve. Just like how ABNORMALITIES are born from human minds, the man-eating beast as well as the custom to scare it off with fireworks must be metaphors to the man-eating debt collectors and some people paying them in gunpowder. Nowadays few people can imagine the terror and cruelty to endure the MIDNIGHT on the last day of a lunar year; we prefer to neglect that the buzzing family reunion and jovial countdown parties are not all there were. So yeah, look at how far the world has come.

With a mixture of feelings from watching your videos and pondering about history, looking back on my own life like you looking back on the once unimaginable Lobotomy Corp journey, I realized that this is what growth is. I've managed to endure atrocities and ORDEALS that once frightened me deeply and were thought to be impassable like you feared HE abnormalities at first. Hence, 'Face the fear, build the future.' Alas, I have grown so much.

Rip pete's story, their victim actually had some weird stuff going on with bad organs and some weird mark that points towards something that's relevant again in the mid/late-game. Still acceptable since you've seen it before.

I played this back when your Lobotomy Corp series ended and it was pretty fun. Can't wait to see how much better it's gotten.

Lobotomy Corporation felt like the SCP Foundation with the combat of Evil Genius.

This looks less chaotic and more in line with the turn based combat I'm used to, and it has really pretty music.

Library is great because I’ve watched tons of it and still have barely an inkling on how combat actually works
