Goat dude kind of hot
ОтветитьThe Pale Lady from "Scary stories to tell in the dark" freaked me out more than the Pale man.
ОтветитьYou also see the death angels a lot in the quiet place
ОтветитьThe ghosts from 13 Ghost should get backstory movies.
ОтветитьReveling that the death angles are weak to high frequency and can't swim is literally the dumbest thing iv ever seen. Wtf happened to the navy?
ОтветитьWait what? Mother Markos made me laugh out loud when I saw her. Definitely not a terrifying monster. But in the literal next scene Mother Suspiriorum summons a death witch that made my jaw dop. I've watched that movie 3 times and the death witch is still one of the scariest things I've ever seen in a movie.
ОтветитьWas hoping the Tunnel Stalker from The Tunnel would be here. Very underrated movie in my opinion.
ОтветитьI'll be honest, the Smile Demon made me die laughing with how over-the-top "scary" it tried to be, it just looked silly with his weird little eyes and goofy grins.
Ответитьfunfact : the paleman (pans labyrinth) is portrait by 2 actors and like zero cgi
ОтветитьThe pale man is the scariest and is so well done that it gets more screen time. Pans Labyrinth is a masterpiece.
ОтветитьI thought A Quiet Place would have been better if they removed the backing music. Made it really silent.
ОтветитьSo tired of Mojo.
ОтветитьThat scene in Insidious is iconic, but the scariest scene in the movie to me is when they are in Dalton's room and the psychic can see the demon on the ceiling above the child's bed and is describing it to her sketch artist. The wide eyed, transfixed expression, the rising fear in the psychic's voice as she describes it, the revealing of the sketch and finding nothing there when the lights come on was absolute perfection.
Ответить>We're gonna show horror movie monsters in their true and disturbing forms!
>But we're also gonna censor everything so you can't actually see anything.
You need to make another list:
The Giant creature in The Ritual and the baby creature monster in The VOID and I'm sure there are more.
You forgot the Crooked man from conjuring 2
ОтветитьHonestly surprised you went with the jackel over the Blair witch
ОтветитьSmile was so cringe then I gave it a chance and it was just as dumb as i thought but not only that but fumbling the trauma metaphor on top of it. Also just the most cringe jeff the killer ass corny. Couldn’t be more basic if it tried.
ОтветитьThe entity was the movie that terrified me as a child
Ответитьi must be watching to many good Asian horror films. these examples that make you millennials piss yourselves are jokes to anyone watching good movies.
ОтветитьShould have included the Harlequin from Digging Up The Marrow. That creature was terrifying
ОтветитьSome old films that relate to this topic. The Brood (1979). The Mother giving birth to one of her "Children", ie. manifestations of repressed anger. That scene is short and intense. Plus her "Childrens"' rage-faces are just barely seen, when they act out her wishes throughout the story.
Hammer Horror's final horror film, at least I think it was their final one, "To the Devil... a Daughter" (1976) has a reverse-birth-scene that is not easily forgotten. However one needs to see the whole film for it to be truly effective.
to be fair to the Pale man, he would have let her go if she hadn't stolen the food. you take bites of mine, i take bites of yours :D
ОтветитьThanks I have not seen all of these and appreciate the tips.
ОтветитьMaybe I'd have to see the movie to get the full effect, but I thought the Ram Man was just cool looking. Handsome, really. Maybe I'm more of a furry than I realized.
ОтветитьActually, I found the Jackal to be the most underwhelming of the ghosts, possibly because he was played up so much before he made an appearance. All of the other ghosts, I found intriguing--the Jackal just screamed, ran fast, and scratched people.
ОтветитьThe one from Malignant should be on there. Annihilation was a major disappointment.
ОтветитьBlair Witch? Hello? NO screen time......
ОтветитьReal good call on Mother Markos
ОтветитьWhere was the alien in Alien (1979)?
ОтветитьSaw "The 13 Ghosts" as a kid. Had to wear glasses to see them. My brother and I liked it, but it wasn't very scary.
ОтветитьThe remake of 13 ghosts is actually great fun.
ОтветитьWhat about that Wendigo-like abomination from The Ritual? Talk about pure nightmare fuel.
ОтветитьCould someone just post the movie list so I don't need to spoil myself with how the monsters look like?
ОтветитьI always thought Cloverfield to be one of those movies. We rarely see the monster and when we do it's as the camera is running away.
ОтветитьWas that a goat man holding a gun? Who wrote that a sentient ounce of cocaine?
ОтветитьFirst, If you can't see it is not "terrifying". The circumstances are terrifying, like in the Blair Witch Project for example, but not the "monster". Two different things. Second, the mutant bear is ok and maybe the Pale Man, but that's about it. The Gremlim from Twilight Zone: The Movie (1983), and the giant demons from Hellboy (2019), aside from the clown (too much cliche) are scarier than all this stuff.
Ответитьhonestly the lamb man isn't even scary or random I mean there was already a lamb child so yeah
ОтветитьThe Endless doesn't show the Entity. Bird Box doesn't show the creatures either. I love when movies do that.
Ответитьsince when were ghosts monsters?
ОтветитьJust to point out, "Smile"'s demon did more than just leer at its victim, it actually warped their perception of reality to destabilize them.
Ответитьhahahahaha it only took 'til the second entry for you to undermine the premise of the video, absolutely no screen time isn't the same as "very little screen time" is it
ОтветитьBa-ba-dooooooooooook...
ОтветитьOops I think goat daddy just turned me into a gay furry
ОтветитьAs a horror fan i would argue that the whole "unthinkable/ unimaginable / unseen horror" has run its course - i fully get and appreciate build up for the great reveal, but there can be only so many formless blobs, things in the shadows of blurry shapes in the distance before it gets stale boring and overused.
ОтветитьI remember being SO ANGRY at that girl during the pale man encounter. Like, you couldn't just NOT EAT A FREAKING GRAPE OR WHATEVER? STUPID
ОтветитьThe Wendigo Pet Cemetary. One brief scene.
ОтветитьThe man with fire in his face, I've never seen it but that
clip scared the f*ck outta me.
Satan from "As above so below" was pretty impressive. Not a monstrous looking creature just a large man in a pitch black room... i cant describe it but the whole scene he is in is pure movie magic. The movie does such a great job building up to that point it doesnt take much to make the whole scene unsettling
