I don’t know, I was maxed out on death sentry before I saw this video. The explosion radius seems much larger when it’s maxed out, which I think I like a whole lot more. It makes the “chain reaction” more likely to occur. On hell cows swapping points out from death sentry was noticeable in a bad way.

Edit: it should also be noted that you need to be around lvl 94 for the chance of finding a 3 to traps and 3 to sentry claw from Anya

I think the value of the extra radius on death sentry (and corpse explosion) is underappreciated here.

How to get that claw

Why does he say insight gives lvl17 aura? It depends on your roll does he even play the game or just make video?

I agree with one point in death sentry and maxing fire blast first. Playing solo hardcore ladder, this + a decent merc is the only way to deal with lightning immunes early on (look... I don't imagine I'll find the runes for Infinity in a hurry.) A lower resist wand doesn't do enough by itself.

I have created a very unusual build using Psychic Hammer and it is a lot of fun. Psychic hammer does both magic and physical now. Pity it doesn't have any synergies. Maybe can get Blizzard to add mind blast as a synergy. It has a unique ability to push back or interrupt spell casters. I am going through Nightmare later stages at the moment. Max out PH very early in the game, get Shadow master early as possible and after maxxing out PH max this out as it will also use PH. Then evenly add pts between CoS, Fade and Weapon block until max out. Next is Mind Blast. Psychic ability has another unique ability, it has the best range in the game direct line can't aim through obstacles. I can kill enemies off screen without ever seeing them. I am collecting +skills equipment to up the power of PH as all my points are going in only one tree, Shadow discipline. Uniques don't push back but slightly interrupts them. Having faster cast makes this skill viable. Be interesting to see if I can get it viable through Hell. Started this build as a bit of fun and to see how far I could get with this as my main skill. Cows is proving difficult as you can't really kill them off screen very well. Be interesting to see if this build is viable with PvP.

Keep in mind with claws you're going to need high str and dex

Why do you want faster castrate?

I'ld rather like a realistic build guide with items that are actually obtainable. No1 will have those +6claws, so just take 2x Plague as weapons.

Fire blast is useless. L.I. monsters play with you like a ball in Act 1.I using hybrid build.

All the video using plague claw and didn't even mentioned as option off hand for weapon? It has skills, can have +LS, and procs lower res. Is just so good.

Isn't skipping max death sentry worse? Yes you don't need it for synergy but I really miss the range of corpse explosion and notice this especially in density.

starter version should not ever go for andy or mephy if the path is long as faster cast rate might be too low and there tons of light immune going for andariels xd

Always want to shop Hell Anya for claws over Nightmare.

It's one of the much more expensive builds because it requires things like infinity, enigma, and griffons.

Lighting trapsin is useless in solo play hell. good luck if you want to try it

Budget hardcore light trapsin. No high runes required but can safely (and relatively quickly) collect key sets, mf hell bosses, do crowd control for ubers, and can kill d-clone.

20 shockweb
20 charged bolt sentry
20 lightning sentry
17-20 shadowmaster
5-20 death sentry (for radius)
1 mindblast
1 fade
1 each pre-req

Between 1 and 19 points are leftover which you can spend on 1 point skills like venom, the blade skills (to proc crushing blow, cast on hit, venom, life and mana leech, open wounds, and more), or martial arts like dragon flight. Personally I prefer venom, blades, ignoring martial arts, maxing shadowmaster, and dumping the rest into death sentry to take it to 17.

Final setup looks something like this:

survival gear (for Nihl, dolls, ubers etc.): shako, shaftstop, twin spirits, string of ears, infernostrides, rare or crafted amulet (or mara's) with the expected stats, unique or rare or crafted gloves with ias, twin dwarfstars (or dwarfstar + ravenfrost, nature's peace, bk, etc.), plus a fire res charm and all the other usual charms. Lower res wand on switch with a high res shield.

MF switch setup: as above but put ali-baba and troll nest rhyme on switch

full MF setup: skulder's, upped goldwrap, upped chanceguards, war travelers, twin nagels, mf amulet

A2 merc gear: insight, any decent armor (treachery?), any decent helm ... if using a prayer merc can use cure runeword for triple strength prayer aura, otherwise use stealskull for the mf and other nice stats (life leech, ias, fhr). Obedience is another option for an A2 merc. And of course the right runewords can make any type of merc shine, but a cold using A1 or A3 merc could be interesting choices to complement your light+fire+physical traps. (That will interfere just a bit with death sentry but may be worth it against things like light+fire immune stoneskins, and you're going to have more than enough corpses anyway.)

This build tested to level 98 on hardcore ladder.

Farming meph sucks. You can kill him easily, but half the Durace is LI. I wait for enigma to run meph.

I play hardcore so I max shadow master. Bo’s to about 5 than start. Topping off fireblast
