تأسس المركز عام 2003 في سوريا بجهود عدد من الكتاب والباحثين العرب، ثم توسع في نشاطه وعمله يغطي غالبية دول الشرق الاوسط وشمالي افريقيا، وفي عام 2015 بادرت ادارة المركز لاعادة هيكلة فريقه وتاسيس فريق عمل ينشط من نيويورك في الولايات المتحدة لهدف خدمة منطقة الشرق الاوسط وشمالي افريقيا

Founded in 2003 in Syria, CESD is a non-profit organization that believes in prosperity and humanity. We support development towards peaceful relations between various parties in the Middle East and North Africa. In 2015, CESD began its work in the United States as defined under Section 501 (c)(3)
We share a commitment to social justice, human rights, and peace between all nations. Our efforts contribute to the mission of creating a new culture in the MENA region which is mainly based on the values of citizenship, peace, and coexistence
