Is there anyway to make this work on ps2 without crt tv?

I just ordered guns for the PS3. Can you play PS2 light gun games on a PS3?

I really thougt of contacting Bandai/ Namco but also Sega, Nintendo and Konami as they where the grandmasters of Lightgun games. We wanted to do it with a petition. We (me and some friends) wanted namco to create a Gcon 3 sucessor (G- Con Bullseye)! A lightgun that works with HD/4K/8K TVs. Point Blank Bullseye, a new Time Crisis, House Of The Dead (trademark has been renewed- please be something in that direction!!) and Virtua Cop also with new games as well as having LGs in the present with multiplayer (Online but also Splitscreen)! HODT, VC and Time Crisis would be great for this!! What do you guys think?

Guys forgot the ps3 move versions

They missed one of my favorite Lightguns for PS1 and 2 cybergun micro uzi ps2! The handling of time crisis is awesome as the button for crouch and shoot is up front. There's also a shoulder stock extension. Ebay has them.

I got Virtua cop 1 and 2 cause I have pal, but it doesn't come with 3. Virtua cop games are so good with guncon 2, you guys are missing out!

In the uk it’s sorta better to get a sinden though to be fair crt tvs are 50£ for a small one and 100£ for 32 inch the sinden gun is 90 quid don’t know where you pulled 400$ from unless your thinking of the gun that the guy builds for you

Sega saturn official gun doesn't use AV and that was accurate

Police 24/7 is amazing, needs the justifier and a specific webcam (list of working webcams on the wiki) to let you duck for cover with your body motion instead of a button. Sounds like it must’ve been crappy execution because no one seems to have heard of it, but if you have the right gun and compatible webcam, it’s so freaking good. Works better than any eye toy game.

If you have a controller plugged into player 2 port, every single button on that controller acts like the foot switch for time crisis. So I use an old controller as my foot switch….reloading without moving your hands completely changes the feel, playing two gun mode is so freaking good. You do have to set player 1 reload to release and player 2 reload to press, to have the foot switch trigger for both p1&p2 in two gun mode.

CRT and oringinal hardwaee is the best. Just plug in and go.

Best lightgun game is still the OG Time Crisis on psx. Its graphics are jank as hell by todays standards but its a pure no nonsene accuracy with a plot that a awkward fart would break.

Idk where I got it or when but somehow I ended up with a ps2 gun made in China from a company called Cypher games...I came here hoping to find some good gun games. And hopefully this gun still works in 2023!!

I took the plunge and looked for a mas catz blue blaster and I had one on my watch list. Then OH NO! Someone bought it, and then I couldn’t find any others on eBay! Then magically the gun was RELISTED! So I took the plunge and bought it. It’s coming next week.

Question about the Guncon 2. If my PS2 is hooked up through YPbPr jacks, which one does the yellow video cable use as a passthrough? Or do I simply not bother with it and only use USB?

Im trying to play lethal enforcers 1 and 2 on a ps2 with a madcatz blaster and I have the blaster set to ps2 and its not working but I am getting vibration feedback. Any ideas whats up? Thanks!

I finally pulled the trigger (pun intended) and bought a Sinden light gun and and even spent the extra money for the recoil version. I figure I could always sell it later and get my $185 back if I ever get bored with it, although I don't believe I will. Yeah, $185 for a light gun. That's near console cost territory. Hopefully some major company discovers a more user friendly and cheaper way to bring light guns back. I will be the first to buy it. I bought house of the dead remake and I also have Big Buck Hunter Arcade on Steam. It is a huge pain in the ass but as soon as I have a block of time where my wife isn't talking my ear off and I can concentrate I fully intend to get everything patched and working. I did calibrate the gun and it seems to work great. The cursor moves exactly where I point it. That part was not hard. The pain is that each game or emulator has to be patched to work with the gun. I tried patching house of the dead but then realized this morning there is an updated patch for an updated version of the game, so that's another pain in the ass. When they release updates your patches may also need to be updated so the gun will still work. There are actually some cool patches for buck hunter I found. In the standard version of the game there is a graphic of a shot gun moving around the screen as you move the cursor. There is a patch that removes that graphic from the game. And there is another that removes the crosshair. This game is a little older so hopefully no more pain in the ass updates. Another classic I cannot wait to play on a big 65" 4K TV is Duck Hunt. There is a Sinden Wiki site that is constantly updated with all the latest patches and detailed instructions. Can't wait to get started!

Played alot of time crisis 2 and hotd 2 and crisis zone . I have 3 crt tvs. 2 portable and 1 atleast size 32. And a playstation 2 fat and slim. I mostly go on the ps2 slim. I never tried the mad catz blaster. I live in the UK so will see if I can get one. I already have g con 1 and 2. Personally I think house of the dead 1 Is the best light gun game ever but time crisis is my child hood. Vampire night is great and I go on it alot by sega and Namco. I only played end game once and never went on it again. Have a nice drink. I will be looking for more crt tvs. Maybe sony next.

On a bit of a tangent: I bought some NES zappers that don't work on the Hyperkin. I don't have an original Nintendo to test them on that. I'm wondering if I should get an original Nintendo or a Hyperkin zapper.

I have the game Time Crisis crisis zone and it's fantastic, beautiful graphics, gameplay is excellent lots of action and you have to use a shield on this game.

Fuck i just bought the original green justifier for 117 and now i see the blue blaster for 27 bucks wtf. I just found out by watching this that it acts as a justifier should i cancel the order or both. And does the mad katz have gunconn?

Little known fact about time crisis is you can plug a controller into port 2 and use it as a foot pedal. Any button works. That’s how I do it and it’s perfect for me

I have great news I’ve been playing ps2 online lately I played a good amount of socom, jak x combat racing and mortal kombat armogedon I even posted a ps2 online vid in my channel. There are many toturials people make on how to get ps2 back online and i wanna tell you because you would be interested and I know one of you like socom that game has events for 8 to 10 on Sunday it’s pretty sick

Having trouble running Lethal Enforcers 1+2 on PS1 with the MadCatz Blaster. It's wildly inaccurate. One moment it's spot on, next it's 3-4 inchs off. I can't hit anything in the top 1/4 of the TV. I've tried to calibrate, and it just hits all over between shots. Have you guys tried this game with the blaster...any tips? Or maybe it's just not a good combo between the game and lightgun.

I read through the comments, did anyone mention that you can plug a controller into the appropriate port and in time crisis 2 at least all the buttons on it map out as a pedal, so step on controller for pedal function

I've had my Mad Katz gun for over 20 years and it still works great.

Your right about the crt I have two a 27 inch Sony titantron and a 37 inch toshiba. I got a guncon 2 for 10 bucks a few years back. Just need light gun games. I also like using my flat screen that is a 1080 TV with the retrotink 5x. But I like having both bc my toshiba crt is component hookups and some games look better on crt like n64 games. Great video and love light gun games. Just need the dreamcast and ps1 light gun. Have the rest or most of them.

Great video, I absolutely adore light gun games even as a kid. I have the time crisis games and vampire night but I’ll have to check out that ninja game.

I forget if you mentioned it in the ps1 video but a time crisis game that goes under the radar is time crisis project Titian. I believe it’s the sequel to the bonus hotel campaign of the original game. It’s a must add to the collection.

My original guncon 2 crapped out on me recently, I lose picture on the TV when I plug in the AV cable. Luckily I have another so I might check out that mad cats one for the second player and it’s compatibility.
