Oh yes how are these blueberries doing please?
ОтветитьI cringed watching this
ОтветитьI love the background music.. thanks.
ОтветитьI have natural acreage around my house if I planted blueberries out in the Wild would the deer just eat it down to the ground? I'm in South Jersey.
ОтветитьBeautiful music choices. I just bought some blueberry bushes. I’m super excited!
ОтветитьNice video , thanks
ОтветитьHow did your experiment turn out? I am about to plant some blueberries in the next coming weeks… bery excited 😂
ОтветитьWhat was the song played after Jack Johnson?
ОтветитьThank you for the video, very helpful. I really love your playlist in the background 🙂
ОтветитьHow come you say to play different verieties of blueberries in the same area but then you say it's best to only grow the verity that is recommended for your Zone? If there are only 3 varieties and they are require a different Zone I am confused.
ОтветитьExcellent video, thanks James for sharing your knowledge. ❤️❤️❤️ for Tuck
ОтветитьHi James! I am a long time follower of your channel and you were immediately the go to person for blueberries advice. I have a normal PH soil, so not ideal for blueberries. Added peat moss at the time of planting, last year. What should I do next to ensure the soil acidity? Or that is all? Thank you!
ОтветитьFrom Pa. Bucks Co. And in our frequent visits to the Pine Barrens we find tons of blueberry bushes growing in sand surrounded by pine trees.
ОтветитьWhat's the name of the song?
What goes up must come back down🎶
What goes around must come back around 🎵
I am expecting 5 Blueberry plants to arrive at my home any day now! I ordered from a reputable farm in NJ too! I just watched this to get a better understanding on how to prepare my soil and see how you did it! Big fan of your videos and I look forward to any you put out. Thank you, you are truley an inspiration.
ОтветитьHi James, I want to plant the rabbit eye blueberries here in zone 9a in Kingsville Texas.
My question is, should I get 2 and plant them 7feet apart as you suggested to have them cross pollinate? Or can I just plant one, since I am just trying to create a garden just for me and my wife.
It’s good to see you and Tuck having a successful garden.
I’m doing well and intend to beat my cancer so I can reap the benefits of a home grown garden. Oh I will be getting some of the Tuck merchandise. He is so cool. Be well. 😊
Luck is where preparedness meets opportunity
ОтветитьUse warm water to rehydrate your peat moss. So much faster and complete than cold.
ОтветитьI love blueberries, but the problem with growing them is that they do not fruit all the time, but when they do they do not all ripen at the same time, you have to go out and pick them one by one. It is a real pain in the neck, and very unsatisfying when you want to have blueberries in you oatmeal or yogurt or whatever. Maybe if you have 10-20 blueberry bushes you can get some decent harvests, but then you have to be positive to pick then or protect them from the birds. Good luck. Your video are very good.
ОтветитьThank you for this! What songs are playing in the video? I'd like to hear the full version 😊
ОтветитьThe first one is definitely a huckleberry
ОтветитьUpdate on blueberry bushes?
ОтветитьI like the way you layered the peatmoss and your sandy subsoil. In 2023 video, your blueberry bushes grew really healthy and well. Thanks for sharing your expertise.
Ответитьplanting them close together like that is even dumber than that damn song you love to play
ОтветитьHi James love your videos! Question, can I plant blueberries in July for next spring Harvest or is it too late? I’m in upstate NY and am an impatient gardener lol. Would rather not wait till next springs.. same question for strawberries. Thanks!
ОтветитьHey James great video.Iam getting ready to plant my blueberries just order a pink lemonade blueberries waiting on it. meanwhile been searching for the correct way to plant them . I think you take the cake. But some say to add Blood Meal to the soil preparation. What do you think.?
ОтветитьSir I think they are too close
ОтветитьWell done! Your high energy and passion; refreshing. Well done!
Ответитьmy peach trees and blueberry bush started off well but were attacked by what looks like fungus. I'm so sad.
ОтветитьSphagnum peat moss is not renewable and not sustainable. Non-sphagnum peat moss is questionable w regard to renewable and sustainable. Pine needles are not acidic, only living green pine needles are acidic, and only slightly. Pine Bark Mulch is acidic. If chips get thick enough for 5-7 years, you can plant in it. See Back to Eden documentary.
ОтветитьI'm growing blueberries from seed. Any recommendations?
Ответитьвы че американцы в какой т о мусор садите голубику? ягода же от вас пошла а садите не в ту землю в которой она родилась. мысадим её в верховой кислый торф с pH 2.5-4
ОтветитьIn Siberia wild blueberries are low bushes loaded with inky berries. Just grow in Taiga fires, you can get big bucket 🪣 a day. 😊
Did it Every year as a child.
I watched your peach tree pruning video. Cant find much on trimming blueberry bushes for better production, if that's even a thing?
ОтветитьWhitey- count those freaks
ОтветитьHi, James. Not sure if you'll see this but I was wondering what I should pair with Chandler. I am also planning to grow Pink Lemonade and based on your video, I think Patriot is what I'll pair with it. Thanks.
Ответить❤❤❤❤❤
ОтветитьI always find myself wanting to watch your videos. I like the way you do things and your easy-going manner. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
ОтветитьI just got a pink lemonade blueberry tree to add to my other 5 regular blueberries. Are the pink ones the same as normal blueberries? As in do the pink ones like acidity soil as well?
ОтветитьAre you growing zone 7?
ОтветитьI stay in Zone 8 Georgia. I got a 1 qt Pink Lemonade in the fall and then I added a 1 gallon Premiere in December. Both were growing very well in containers. I used Miracle Gro organic performance and half sphagnum peat moss. My soil meter didn't work but I added soil acidified and fertilizer when planting. It is now April and some strong winds knocked off some flowers and leaves from both plants. The 1 qt Pink Lemonade leaves seem to be wilting and I can't figure out why. Possibly overwatering?
The Premiere looks great. Any advice?
Love the Paula Fuga song sprinkled in. Just bought 5 plants today from Hammonton, thank for the video!
ОтветитьHow do you like the pink lemonade variety?
ОтветитьThanks
Ответитьwhat is his soil pH before and after doing this process? i doubt this would work in many soils, like mine is pH 7.2
ОтветитьWere you reading my mind? Recently I've been thinking about growing blueberries. Your video is perfect - thank you!
ОтветитьThanks James for your enthusiasm and clear, informative videos. I've learned so much from them. I do have a question regarding wood chips. You mentioned that mixing of woodchips with soil for planting is a "no, no". Could you explain why. Thank you so much.
ОтветитьMy grandfarher planted all of his tomatoes sideways/laying down. He never staked them up either. Just put a ton of leaf mulch around the plants and left them laying on the mulch. They got huge, and produced a lot of fruit.
ОтветитьIve never seen an entire backyard that is nothing but wooden mulch. No grass at all, wow lol.
