JEFF BECK is a guitar virtuoso who raised the bar for other musicians and challenged them to have a successful solo career.
Starting out with the storied Yardbirds then moving on to form the Jeff Beck Group with a shy lead singer ( Rod Stewart ) who would turn his back to the audience to sing Jeff Beck thought who needs a lead singer when I can play so fucking good !
Without the flashy stage show , frontmen with lead singers disease other band members with inflated ego's. JEFF BECK blazed his own trail doing it his way ! When " Wired " was released as a jazz fusion / guitar dominated LP with Jan Hammer on keyboards the song " Blue Wind " just blew me away and still does to this day !
Sit back , dim the lights , smoke a joint , light a candle , turn the volume to ten and enjoy some wicked licks that are often imitated but never duplicated.
