i had to walk out of my room and close the door to give this man some privacy...
ОтветитьI like my biscuits and gravy with a couple eggs (over easy) on top. It’s good when you break the yolks so it mixes with everything. Try it like this and maybe try it again with some good hot sauce. I am pretty sure you will enjoy it.
ОтветитьYes sir!!!!! That's what Americans rave about it for!!!!!!!! ❤❤❤❤
ОтветитьIt makes my heart dance when I see people from other places enjoying our foods. Biscuits & gravy is still a staple in our meals. LOVE IT! Great job, friend.!
ОтветитьGood job!
ОтветитьIt's like a religious experience, ain't it?
ОтветитьDude. I use a biscuit mix that just takes water & I spoon the raw dough on a parchment paper & bake it. The gravy I get from professional (Gorden's food service) food services wholesaler & it's called "Pepper Gravy". again, mix with water. I dunk toast in it & it's great on fries. I have even served it over veggies & dipping for fish styx. ... yea, I'm a fat guy.
ОтветитьFrom Texas and been making it for years. You did it right, sir. 👍
Ответить❤For an extra taste treat you might want to add crispy fried bacon bits to your gravy with the sausage it does taste great that way.
ОтветитьPairs well with black coffee too. I love making biscuits and gravy on Sunday mornings and eat it with a cup of coffee. You sir, nailed the recipe and the prep right on. I've seen other non-Americans try biscuits and gravy and they didn't come away with the same reaction.
ОтветитьYour biscuits were so perfectly done. Oh my gosh I’m gonna make some tomorrow morning for just watching. I didn’t believe that you really made those. I went back to make sure you didn’t have an assistant. They were so perfectly done. I called those grandmas biscuits because no one makes biscuits like a grandma. They make the best biscuits, and you are up there with them 💯. Like we stay here in my state, “they were so pretty”. I applied you awesome job.👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
ОтветитьYeesss !!!🎉🎉 there's NOTHING like Southern biscuits and gravy 😅😊❤
ОтветитьWelcome to America....😁
ОтветитьIf there is a next time, try including some fried hashbrowns or fried potatoes (NOT fries). They are awesome together. 😋😉😋 Especially with the sausage gravy.
ОтветитьThat actually looks like what I get here in the USA. Nice job.
ОтветитьThis style of gravy is so good and easy to make...you could even put it over buttered toast if you can't make biscuits.
ОтветитьVery well done!!...for those who do not have buttermilk, just add a teaspoon of lemon juice or white vinegar to one cup of milk and let it set for 5 minutes and it will be just like using buttermilk.
ОтветитьYou’re the first person that’s not from America that actually made both dishes correctly! I was jealous of your biscuits! I’m from Arkansas! Good job! So when are you coming to America?
ОтветитьDamn son you did it right good 👍 ❤
ОтветитьUse real butter. Not that fake isht. I use Irish butter
ОтветитьOnce you learn to make American biscuits you can add them to any meal. The trick is to folding the dough a couple times to make em flaky. Don’t overwork the dough tho. It’s like a warm hug from God 😁🤘
ОтветитьBiscuits and gravy is the bomb bro!!! 🤘I also like biscuits by themselves just some butter or jam and some fried eggs
ОтветитьBiscuits and gravy aside, if only I loved my own cooking like this guy loves his!
ОтветитьAdd some black pepper my man, takes it up a notch
ОтветитьLooks great, next time add some scrambled eggs, and some red chili flakes. Fantastic job.
ОтветитьHe’s adorable. Knows great food!
ОтветитьI love his reaction :)
ОтветитьI absolutely love this! I would love to see you make this for some of your friends and see what their reaction is.
ОтветитьOkay so....
That extra little circle that came off after cutting the biscuits....
Yeah.... try tossing that in the deep fryer! Or just some hot oil in the pan, enough to cover and deep fry.
Or make actual donuts or donut holes.
Donut dough and biscuit dough are.... bascially the same!
Southern food, it's the best! Pure comfort.
Ответитьas a southerner you did biscuits and gravy perfectly
ОтветитьDude looks like he's gonna cry! That's what we call puttin' a little south in your mouth.
ОтветитьClean up in Aisle 5
ОтветитьNow you need to throw some scrambled eggs on the biscuits before the gravey😂😂
ОтветитьWelcome to the addiction.
Now then, when you have leftover gravy, you can make some eggs in the morning (i prefer scrambled, or an omelette) and warm up that gravy and pour it over the eggs. Its another magical combination. A good sausage gravy can ramp up a lot of dishes. Pork chops, ham, steak, fried chicken, flaky fish, toast, hashbrowns, etc.
Seems most non-Americans think it's so strange, then when they try it, they say, "Ok, I get it." 😂
ОтветитьNow, scramble a couple eggs and put them on top.
ОтветитьYou: Crickey, woy isn't this in 'stralia?
Me: so, white America does have at least one culture of it's own, doesn't it?
A certain ideology will now lie about it because they need us to be baba yage.
welcome to traditions, damn good isn't it?
ОтветитьThe biscuit recipe was AOK, but the sausage gravy was the HIGH END style. People in the South or on a farm were not rich and this recipe came about because workers needed their bellies filled with something that was economical, hot, and would stick to their ribs. Bacon was a staple and bacon grease was always available and it's a more flavorful choice in which to fry sausage than butter, so that is what they used. The typical seasoning for breakfast sausage was ground sage and salt & pepper (and maybe a few hot chile flakes if you like it with a kick). We also never make the gravy without adding salt, lots of black pepper, and ground sage to it. As for flavor and consistency, the gravy is actually far more flavorful when made with half water and half milk, because the added milk fat in using only cream or milk for the gravy dulls the flavors and using COLD water and COLD milk will ensure there are NO LUMPS in your gravy. My mom grew up on a farm in Missouri and this is what she was taught about making cream gravy (or "milk" gravy, as it is often called).
ОтветитьMy mom wanted to know what I wanted for my first “home cooked meal” when I got home from the Army in 1972. I told her biscuits and gravy, sliced and fried potatoes, sausage patty, corn, and strong brewed sweet tea. Meal fit for a king
ОтветитьThat looked so good! I love biscuits and gravy. Every time I watch someone make this I wonder if they are using the right kind of sausage because they never specify what kind they are using! So, I thought I'd just say we use breakfast sausage. At least my mom always did. There are so many different kinds of sausage!
ОтветитьTry McCormick sausage flavor country gravy mix and jimmy Dean hot sausage, that’s what most Americans eat. Have a great day!!
ОтветитьOne of my favorite foods , I can eat it for breakfast , lunch or dinner
just add some eggs and grits
Carbs, fat, salt, and some fatty meat. It's why pepperoni pizza and nachos are the kings of flavor town. Welcome to the South my Aussie friend. There's way more to explore and we welcome you with the greatest hospitality on earth! Just be sure and bring some elastic waist pants, ok?
ОтветитьThat's not real gravy that's butter gravy, real gravy is made from bacon or sausage grease
ОтветитьDude is having a mouthgasm!!!!!
ОтветитьMy mom's comfort food!!!!!
ОтветитьI’m glad you enjoyed it. Good food is just good food. You did a fantastic job on those biscuits.
Ответитьhit him in the feels
