My ex had a PhD and a tenure track college teaching position. I had a BS in engineering and out earned her 2:1. I sympathized with her about the injustice of it, and split childcare, shopping, laundry, cooking, and cleaning but her passive aggressive treatment of me over 36 years together led to me leaving as soon as our 2 kids were adults.
