I think I disagree that DR isn’t a good interviewer, contrary to his own assessment. What makes him a good interviewer is his ability to attentively LISTEN. We need more of those people in the world. It brings out the best in others.

Jordan can speak to any audience and deliver a powerful message based on value and responsibility.
He provides a roadmap for living a good life and a productive existence

First off: That guy is simply rude. Cutting peterson off multiple times and not once listening to the actual awnser jordan is giving. When it comes to the world of investing, most people don't know where to start. Fortunately, great investors of the past and present can provide us with guidance.

you dont understand taxation. It is about the rule of law. If poor people are surviving on rich peoples charity it is just a matter of time before the only people that can be rich is warlords. Paying even 50 percent of what you make is cheap because in a lawless state you get to keep nothing. And the state and government want money for all the infrastructure you used to make your money. You used people that were scholed by the state. You made deliveries on roads and bridges built by the state. You didnt get robbed by all poor people that got helped by the state. Go to a country like sweden and you will se why you pay taxes people in the us are getting screwed. All your money is wasted on military and fixing problems you made by not taking care of people. In sweden peoples lifes are higher quality, we get more for our money so I understand that you dont like taxes because you get nothing for your money. I have free healthcare, got a masters degree in a at a great university. I have been at the ER and and ferried to the Hospital with an ambulance. The us is one of the most corrupt countries in the world. How do I know well the moddle class has a hard time surviving in the us and people are becoming demoted to lower class and you live in the richest country in the world. That means someone is stealing your common producytion and that means you are beeing exploited.

Theres no exploitation in profit. well it doent have to be but it most often is how can you have companies in the Us that have employies that cant live on the wage they are paid. is it fair to pay serving staff 1 dollar an hour and then living on tips. this makes the workers investors in your enterprise with thee same risk as you but none of the benefits.

This is my fifth year after retirement. I've been following the 4% rule thing, but this isn't really how hard I expected things to be. I still have about $460k outside funds in my IRA to invest in stocks. Pls how do I take advantage of the market turnaround?

I feel how companies/owners treat their employees/contractors is not enough in the “ethical” equation. In my experience, clients are treated ethically while employees are neglected or outright abused.

Everything he said needs to be heard and implemented.

Not everyone can grow their own food. A profit is what you pay for food and shelter and raise a family with. How is that bad? If you are good enough and in demand enough a larger profit will come.

To do unto others (serve others) in excellence equals profit. Dr Peterson says in a very eloquent way what my heart thinks!

In addition to making you feel more guilty about your faults, pointing the finger at others will only serve to increase your sense of personal accountability. There's always a risk in every investment, yet people still invest and succeed. You must look outward if you wanna be successful in life...

Profit…at some point…comes at the exploitation of others. Profit…at some point…is always the reason for corruption. Profit…almost never produces charity…it produces greed. These guys are the poster boys for late stage capitalism!

Making money is not the same as keeping it there is a reason why investments aren't well taught in schools, the examples you gave are well stationed, the market crisis gave me my first millions, people shy away from hard times, I embrace them.. well at least my advisor does lol

I wish there was a way of pulling sound bytes out of this... so many great ones, but I don't think the people who need to hear them would listen to the whole thing.

Taxation is theft. Our local, state and federal governments are always looking for more revenue from the tax payer and over paying for services everywhere.

Just look at blockbuster, they went from huge to out of business in a relatively short time. Some people say Netflix put them out of business but that’s not the case, blockbusters leaders had a flood of lineup coming in and got drunk off the riches only to lose sight sight of the customers and killed a company that could have been around for a long time.

Hit 200k today. Appreciate you for all the knowledge and nuggets you had thrown my way over the last months. Started with 14k in June 2022.

Dave sounds like a simpleton. That being said, I feel like a philistine by the entire conversation.

There is certanly value and virtue in all you said. Yet, in all this talk about proper interpersonal and business corrspondence and what is the right way of doing things, you haven't mention the fact that all that can be corrupted - put in wrongful use. The very things and postulations could backfire if used for dark gains.
