WOW, I feel like I should park my steam engine and put the box camera away. Been a photographer for 50 years. I guess things have changed, lol. And you do an amazing presentation highlighting Resolves capabilities and the zillion "hidden" features I would never have found. I've had many aviation related instructors over the years, which has also gotten very technical. So many very knowledgeable educators fail at presenting the basics and jump into the level that needs a foundation to be meaningful.
Thank you. I am going to keeping watching and learning, and using Resolve. BM owes you big time. Tim

Ответитьthanks a lot for every bit of info
ОтветитьExcellent video, thank you. But I have a question. For the CUT page, you mentioned assigning the "P" key for a quick insert, so that you can use the I-O-P keys on the Cut page. I've searched the web, but I cannot find how to go about assigning the "P" key to do the insert on the Cut page. Would you mind sharing the secret?
Ответитьvery nice video, thank you. question: is your introduction course based on the free version or the studio version of Resolve? I mean, do I have to upgrade to the paid version if I really want to follow along with the course?
ОтветитьEarned my sub! Excellent work Casey!
ОтветитьThanks for the tutorial. It helped me lot
ОтветитьHow did you add that blue circle around the mouse? Is it in post or capture software? Thanks a lot for the tutorial btw, watched your other vids as well.
ОтветитьI just downloaded 18.5 and don’t see half the stuff you are talking about. I don’t have the second screen on the top right to drop cuts. My Media Pool is horizontal not vehicle and cannot find an undo button when I make a mistake. I’d love to see a video that tells me this stuff and how to set up. Would love to learn transitions too. Nothing like Vegas which I have used. If ai had hair I’d be pulling it out right now
ОтветитьCasey, your video is the best I've found! Thank you. One question I am hoping you can help me with is the following. I am creating a bunch of individual sports action clips for online training. Should I work with them in a single project or multiple projects for each clip. If a single project do I place the videos end to end and export multiple clips? Or, do I stack them or something? Thank you! - JS
ОтветитьI've been cutting my video editiing teeth using Descript for the past few months, and I've found this video to be very useful, and easy to understand. Thank you!!
ОтветитьBeyond amazing tutorial, thanks so much!
ОтветитьI installed the free version 18.5 and within days it updated to 18.5.1
Why do I have trouble with updating it?
It goes through the process, takes forever (lousy internet) but when it's done and I open the program, it still shows 18.5. How do i know/find out if it actually updated?
Thanks in advance!
Hello! I'm pressing I/O + P in the CUT page and when I press 'P' it just does the full screen video? Is there any tips on how to make it work?
ОтветитьThanks
ОтветитьBEGINNER: Have watched a lot of YT DR and still have no idea what I'm doing. Would love to see you offer a 18.5 (or newer as DR evolves) course dedicated 100% to Organize Folders, MEDIA, CUT, DELIVER. So I can CUT the RAW footage down and send it off to a professional. Done!
Would love to find a course that focuses on the beginning steps of editing for 10 hrs. including the CUT page with SPEED EDITOR vs skimming through the entire program in 9.
Next, do another for "EDIT" covering 100% of everything you could possible need to know. And so on. . . I want to know what my options are and how to achieve them correctly vs picking up bad habits because I didn't know any better. $250 each course would have saved me a lot of wasted time experimenting.
I've watched the Black Magic DR tutorials and spend more time rewinding and watching over again. Which makes the learning process frustrating. Some trainers are very knowledgeable but they try to pack the entire DR18 into a 2 hr. YT video. O.K. well now I have an overview of what DR can do but no idea how to achieve it.
Please make something for the BEGINNER who hasn't come from Adobe, etc. Thank you, great presentation.
this is miles better than any paid course I've ever purchased on anything
ОтветитьOMG amazing!
ОтветитьDo every effect in fusion
ОтветитьOk, this is for Windows… can anyone direct me to Da Vinci Resolve 18 on an Apple Mac…??
ОтветитьHey Casey, Thanks a lot for this series and as a beginner I can ´t tell you how valuable these are and the fact that they are free makes it so easy to get started, it ´s just top notch! Maybe you guys can drop some comments so that I come back here more often and then I have like a little accountability setup, keep you updated!
Cheers
Great tutorial. I'm looking to switch from Premiere Pro and this video helps the switch.
ОтветитьPretty good tutorial, Casey!! Good work.. it helps us all making better content!
Ответитьsuper helpful. i just downloaded Resolve (free) and have some confidence going into a project with multiple cameras and audio sources. I think the link/sync (whatever it was called) for multi-cam is going to be a life saver. Thank you!
ОтветитьNice to see a video editor with a solid understanding of audio. Thanks for the overview!
Ответитьboxes in Chinatown? Isn't that a classic movie or something?
ОтветитьGreat video. I need to watch it again as there is so much useful information. Thanks. Tim
ОтветитьBest software introductory video ever made. After using semi-pro, simpler programs, DaVinci Resolve seemed somewhat intimidating - but after watching this everything seems intuitive and familiar.
ОтветитьAwesome video. Great stuff. Earned my sub!
ОтветитьThank you, thank you, thank you! This comprehensive introduction finally sets the stage for me to actually start trying out the intimidating tasks of working with Davinci Resolve.
ОтветитьHow does this compare with the new 18.5?
Ответитьuztaisi vairāk video, tev iet lieliski!
ОтветитьGreat video man..! Great alpha and nicely structured for the beginner to intermediate.
ОтветитьToo bad you can't put two likes at once!
ОтветитьSeems every video tutorial I find has a different interface setup. Too bad there's not a standard interface setup everyone could use when giving a tutorial. I think that would increase viewership and participation quite a bit.
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьI was intimidated by this program until I started watching your videos man thanks and I have learned a lot in just a couple weeks
Ответитьappreciate you dude
Ответитьbeen using DR for a few years as a hobby - man do I wish I would have had this video - at the start. Amazing training. Cant wait to dig into your specific tools training.
ОтветитьI logged into the same website and do not see the screen that you get in the video. The screen that I see says "Welcome to Black Magic Cloud" and then it gives me 3 choices to select from, 'project server', 'presentation', or 'settings'. None of these three choices lead me to the screen in your video. I am so new that I cannot figure out how to log in ... LOL. If you read your comments, please advise a lame user how to log in after the download. Specifically, where do I go to log in? Is it on there a different website?
ОтветитьCasey, are you using a 3rd-party tool to zoom in on an area of the screen while tracking mouse movement or are you doing that inside of Resolve? Thank you so much!
ОтветитьI've viewed many educational films.Your presentation is outstanding, and you explained each component in a way that was exact, easy to follow, and clear. Thank you
Ответитьgreat tutorial video !
ОтветитьThis was extremely helpful. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge!
