Hi everyone.

What worked for me is when starting a new load, I keep it set to PRECISE FILL. I have it on COLD OR COOL.

THEN I TURN THE NEXT KNOB one full right and set it to HEAVY on the WHITE setting.


Then, before I start it, I hold the FILL button for three or so seconds until I hear a beep. Then I press start.

I was wondering why i was stinking so much lately. Turns out clothes werent even properly getting washed and rinsed. I've basically been wearing still half-dirty clothes with detergent layered on it 🙄 I miss my old washer with agitator from the 2000s. Lasted over 15 years. This is just shiny new junk.

Had this washer for 3 weeks now, a contractor from GE came to take a look at it because it only filled with water to the 3rd hole from the bottom, so he diagnosed that the motherboard didn't work, well today he came to put in the brand new motherboard and guess what it still didn't work, SHOCKER! NOT! So these are the words straight out of his mouth, GE KNOWS THAT THESE HE WASHERS HAVE THE PROBLEM OF NOT FILLING UP WITH WATER EVEN WHEN YOU PRESS THE DEEP FILL BUTTON. HE SAID IT HAD TO DO WITH THE CODES AND UNTIL GE DOES SOMETHING ABOUT THE CODES THESE WASHERS WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO BE FIXED, SO WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT BUY THIS PIECE OF S*** IT WILL BE THE BIGGEST REGRET IN YOUR LIFE. Also, GE DOESN'T EVEN OWN GE APPLANCES ANYMORE, CHINA OWNS GE NOW.

This doesn't fill with water even after following your instructions. I just purchased this.

You need to make this right, GE. This is theft.

I have a gear grinding noise that ge service reps cant id. Its a little over a year old. I am so disapointed and so ready to throw this top loader away. Cant stand the loud noise during wash cycle. Any ideas as to what it is? Motor?

These are NOT the best watchers. THIS washer can not tell you how many times its filling with water then starts and you open it but it never added enough water to even touch the clothes yet.

Bought this machine 4 days ago, and boy do I wish I had read the reviews before purchasing. This is the worst washing machine I've ever used in my life, ever. They can come and get this POS!. It's so damn loud among a list of other problems. I can't see this machine lasting me a whole year let alone 2 years.

DONT believe it. So many times that DEEP FILL? you cannot even SEE water in the washer.. look it up. Get something that uses more water.. not GE

Just received this washing machine today. Price was good and I had a GE years ago which I loved. After testing it with 3 washes I can honestly say it’s a huge disappointment. Very noisy during wash cycle (which supposedly is normal based on GE videos) and like most everyone has commented, doesn’t give you much water. I should NOT be regulated on how much water I can use, I’m on well water. Fortunately, I can return within 48 hours. I guess you get what you pay for

One word: terrible. Everyone else in the comments you can just read and sum up why they all hate it, including me. We all follow the directions on the video yet it doesn't work. Deep fill was working for me in the beginning, now it doesn't after 2 years. How do we wash clothes without any water? Absolutely poor design.

I have this washer. I thought it was a little better than the others, but it has many flaws. Plus, I hate when I pull clothes out and they have dry spots on them.

We have this model without the agitator and not sure where we put the softener

Wow, I just bought this machine because my 4 year old Samsung needed a 700. Dollar repair including parts and labor. All the remarks on this G E are so disappointing, I hope I didn’t make a mistake.

I wish i would have read these comments before i purchased mine. They thi k they are saving water, but now i have to do smaller loads using more water, when i could have done one or two big loads..

Is there a way to adjust the water timing in this washing machine to bypass the factory settings? When using deep fill this machine only fills 1/2 way. I pulled out bulky linen skirts today that were literally dry in places because there wasn't enough water to penetrate them. Why such a big capacity tub for so little water output. I also took the advice from the pro tip. Washing on bulky and using deep fill only amounted to water filling half way up. Washing clothes twice to get them clean is not saving water or energy for that matter. Vote these stupid Dems out of office with their green policies!!

Just got this machine! having problem with this Deep Fill! have no instruction where to put the detergent, after reading all the negative comments, i think i am regretting purchasing it.

GARBAGE pure GARBAGE - takes long time to fill up with water and drains it within 15 minutes if you leave the lid open while you're looking for your clothes. If you want to select a different cycle while it's mid cycle, forget it - it will drain all the water out. You can't just rinse and spin - EXPENSIVE JUNK that has WASTES WATER AND MONEY and has DESTROYED MY LOVE of doing LAUNDRY!! I HATE THIS MACHINE !!!!

Just buy this washer last week still wondering how to use the Deep fill for a regular wash like just a normal wash wondering do I just press for 3 seconds or am I missing something????????

This is the worst washer I’ve ever had. Deep fill, large load, super, precise-doesn’t matter it never fills to the top.

I got a hot point washer, I have to manually dumped couple more gallons of water to get enough water for the load.

Do not buy this washing machine. It is freaking terrible. The water doesn't fill to the top. You can't select a cycle and allow the water to fill up so your clothes can soak and once you add the clothes, the water stops filling up. I've pressed the deep fill button, and nothing happens except for the stupid chime bell. Again, do not buy this machine. The design is awful and extremely frustrating.

I just moved into a duplex with this washer in a shed. It’s driving me crazy. It squirts water into it then pauses then squirts some more then pauses. … then starts filling with water so I think it’s ok and walk away. Later when I go to get my laundry out of the washer, it’s stopped , I open the lid and the clothes are only partially wet. It never finished filling and it never started washing. Then I start it again and it starts to fill but again goes through the same thing. Eventually after an hour or so I get it to fill and then I can wash a load . Am I doing something wrong?

Almost as if it’s not spinning them dry because they are wet to the point where I can squeeze them with my hands and a bunch of water will come out

I hate this washing machine. It makes that “Errr! Errr! Errr!” noise during the wash and rinse cycle compared to the old washing machines that just made a continuous noise, when you put it on hot it won’t go to hot, the sensor is so messed up, and a lot other things are wrong with this stupid machine.
