ОтветитьLove how after the second fire jam, Jerry nailed it and he knows it! He’s so proud of himself!
ОтветитьI knew it wasn’t just the doses, that was a GREAT SHOW!!!!
ОтветитьFor the first 10 minutes they are tuning their instruments.
Ответитьlove the Miles Davis Intro
ОтветитьJerry was so on to this he was just on fire , so hot + together ! What a show as usual or always ! 😍🥰😘🥳
ОтветитьJerry and The Boys were in peak form on this one!! I was privileged to be BACKSTAGE on this groovy magical evening!!!
ОтветитьJerry and Bobby tore it up in 88. They are so happpy and even though I never went to Hampton the whole show from what I see just floats. 😊
ОтветитьIs Bobby's guitar even plugged in? I don't see a cable.
ОтветитьIve seen them ohhh a dozen fifteen times in some hot venues but dont recall Jerry playing like this...he's going OFF....Hip,Hot,Hooray
ОтветитьPsychedelic Rock? I. Always get a jazz rock fusion vibe. Thoughts?
ОтветитьI was there, amazing show. But they worked for the "company" so eff 'em!
ОтветитьRipping it 🎊
Ответить❤ Grateful Dead 💀 ❤
ОтветитьOne of the better late 80s recordings I've heard
ОтветитьListen to Jerry mess with the opening riff of Miles Davis' Kinda Blue before launching into SM. I'm no Dead Head but I appreciate this band a lot. Everyone should watch "The Other One" to see how Bob Weir credits he and Jerry listening to his parent's jazz albums to learn how to musically improvise and solo.
ОтветитьI saw my first dead show a week or so after this in Worcester MA at the Centrum
ОтветитьThe big thing for me here is that Jerry totally takes a chance on a riff that doesn't quite pan out right at about 18:90 at the end of Scarlet, and he acknowledges it completely fell flat, and signals (or agrees at least) to move to fire and he has a smoke. The fact that they took those chances meant we went into these unexpected and rare places. Other bands would never do that and they miss out. It takes guts to be that experimental and it takes fans to appreciate what they are trying to do.
ОтветитьBack to trepan and just to being here !
ОтветитьKidding Joking 😂

ОтветитьYes, it's all coming back to me now. 🎇
ОтветитьSoooooooo goooood
ОтветитьJerry was from another planet ❤🎉 They broke the mold when they made Jerry. His guitar playing will be heared through the cosmos for eons.
ОтветитьThe Grateful Dead were their own vortex, a rip, a tear in the fabric of the space time continuum...Im forever grateful for my time in the arena with Jerry, the boys, and the entire Dead family....
ОтветитьWow
ОтветитьI always think Jerry's distorted guitar tone sounded especially sweet in this era. Wonder what amp/pedals he was using.
ОтветитьThe Chanting Monks where a blast!
ОтветитьThe Last Show at Shoreline and the Celebration the same year in the Haight was 6 days of timeless bliss. The untold stories of the Polo Grounds Event Was over the Top. Just as it should be!

SOOO WONDERFUL!!!
ОтветитьAs far as I know, Garcia is the only guita
ОтветитьWhen I was younger I didn’t want to hear a note of anything past 80’. I thought it sounded corny and I didn’t like Jerry’s rough voice but I’ve definitely learned to appreciate the amazing shows up until the very end. 🥀
ОтветитьI enjoyed this so much I'm going to hear it again and keep reading the comments. What a tremendous Scarlet 🔥 . This band is a National Treasure.
ОтветитьThis was some show. Perhaps the Best of 88. Def top 3!
