The funniest part of the person whining about the 2-hour refund cutoff is that they proceeded to play for 8 more hours after that lol

Inscryption is a great game, but if you weren’t aware of Daniel Mullins previous games and weren’t thinking too much about the trailers you could definitely feel a bit misled about how the games going to go, luckily the Kaycee’s Mod update allows you to go back to a version of act one with more new challenges!

The people complaining about deleting file not realizing it doesn’t even actually delete or else it would be considered Malware

It took me 20 hours before i got to act 2. Genuinly thought the entire game was just the first act over and over so I can kinda understand some of these reviews lol.

To be fair, the whole game drops off a clif in quality and atmosphere after act 1.
We go from beautiful 3d, wonderful horror cabin theme, and relatable beasts, to boring 2d, boring world, and boring robots. That one comment was fair criticism, its an entirely different feel to the game that is objectively not what it presented itself as, and subjectively terrible compared to act 1. Even act 3 when it returns to it, just isnt the same. The stoatbot is just not as interesting as lesshy

This game turned me into an avid follower of The Geck. Geck is best boi. Geck is life.

Love the person that probably only did the card tutorial and just.. gave up.. because they couldn't play it with other humans... how would you even do it? Like.. did they even realize that the map and... standing up from the table.. would not be feasible in a PvP situation? Like imagine irl you just can pause your turn to stand up and go rummaging around the immediate area for an extra card and stuff

these negative reviews are even funnier considering how unbelievably unbalanced and easy the base game can be with just a couple decent card building choices (literally triple shot on wolf just wins, also ouroboros)

weak point of inscription to me:
1st part is infinite if you dont die. prevents you from progressing
The 2nd and 3rd parts are less good than the first, could have used more work.
The game would have deserved 2 more worlds.
Kaycee's mod would have affected the entire game. & be more difficult (I just completed the skull storm challenge in one try with Hydra deck)
the fact that the kaycee mod does not allow you to play all factions is an admission of failure

wasn't too bad either.
7/10 with one point just for the arg thing

Played it, beat it, played the mod dlc, stopped playing because the mod dlc just feels like a puzzle that if you make a single wrong choice in then you lose, to the point where I was tempted to look it up and see if there was a guide, but also due to the semi-random layout that is probably impossible or just vary difficult.

I find it interesting when people brought up how they were disappointed at Act II being an RPG, when I had an absolute BLAST with act II (given I am a HUGE JRPG fan).
Of course, I love ALL the acts because of this. :3

I am seeing a consistent lack of act 3.

The real crime was how quick the game ended. I wanted more, and the game leads you to believe that there IS more, but there’s not. They rushed what could have been 2 more parts in the game during in the final part. Awesome game though

Is genuinely hurts me how many people thought this game was too hard. It can be difficult at times but its not that bad.

It’s really funny how half of the people complaining about the type of game it is, either complaining about it being a card game, or complaining about it being a roguelike.

I love how you can tell which reviews didn't even bother to either finish the archivist fight or even better those who didn't even bother to finish the cutscene (also correct me if I'm wrong but the game literally asks you for permission to view your files lol)

I hated this game and was glad to get a refund. I hate this shitheads snarky read of these comments too.

You're right, this game is a scam. It's as boring as hell. You don't build card hands at all. Your choices are very limited to what can be played with very few cards each round. Having such few choices takes all the fun out of it. It's too linear, too much luck is involved and not enough skill is needed. Good card games rely on levelling up skills with your deck building. But not here.

fun fact: you can win inscryption first try. it's just really, really hard, esp if you make awful choices

I hated to see yall in the first act the game is meant to go against u and progress by death in act 1 like COOOME ON get with it lmfao 🤣 it’s easy and fun and u technically can’t lose cause ur meant to lose lmfao 🤣 I wish yall could of seen the end or got to act 3 or the hidden act 4 lmfao 🤣
