This just popped up. I watched it for 20 seasons. After Mike refused to work with Frank out of jealousy, I stopped watching. Mike is to narcissistic for me. I thought Frank made the show.

So I bought a numbers matching (all the stamps) 356 barn find for 18k. Complete car with all the parts. I knew what I was getting into. Having an expert restoring it at a reasonable per hour rate. It needed a full restoration but very little rust in the nose. 8k totalin metalwork in my opinion was like winning the lottery. I’ve already spent 100k and we haven’t painted or touched engine and transmission yet. These cars are very expensive to have restored. It only makes sense if you want the car long term or if you can do all the work yourself. There is no money to be made buying and restoring in the short term. The problem we are having now is getting parts that are back ordered. I’ll probably be in for a total of 150k plus the 18k purchase price but it will be as it left the factory in 1963 matched to the Reutter’s record book for it.
