This is Paul at his best. Don't run Nardi down all you know-nothings. He has loads of game. Just look how he made Djokovic look. Yeah, ND was off the boil, but Nardi was murder. 20 years old. To be honest, I saw a great first set by Luca Nardi also yesterday against Paul. What the young guy lacks is the second serve, which is very poor and way beyond the tour level. Once improving that skill, together with his response, I won't be surprised to see him in the top50. He's mentally strong, has a GREAT timing on the ball, and an incredibly smooth backhand. Yesterday he basically lost the first set because all his second serves were an easy point for Tommy Paul, who is a very aggressive and creative player. But he had several chances to get on top.

All Nardi did in last match was out run a 38 year old.....there was no display of talent as such. 😂

Nardi would learn from this. He is transitioning from challenger circuit into main tour. He needs to stay focus and mix his game up. He looks like Jannik early last year where his game is pretty one dimension but look at Jannik now. He has so much variety and tactis to employ

Paul easily dispatched Nardi showing that Djokovic's loss was a fluke. Djokovic did say that he didn't bring his A-game yesterday. Maybe he underestimated Nardi, who played great to beat Djokovic. You've got to be at the right place at the right time.
