At lease on the westside in most neighborhoods you can walk outside at night and not be mugged or killed buy the 13%
ОтветитьWe love in chagrin falls! East side all day. West side is nice for lake activities, but east side is rolling green hills, country clubs, estates, charm and more established. Both are great easy side just is prettier to drive through. Love Cleveland all of it! Come visit!
ОтветитьNobody wants more snow? Some of us enjoy the snow. 👍🏼
ОтветитьAs for me i am pretty ok with rainy, snowy and cold weather Cleveland is featured. At the first glance it is comprehensive, full weigh mid sized, beautiful downtown.
ОтветитьJust recently moved from Florida to Chesterland and we fall in love with the area. By the way we bought a house without looking at it. 😂
Ответитьgrew up east side, live west side now. fantastic analysis on the land.
ОтветитьIll keep it real for everyone. All the blacks and white people who act black live on the east side and all the white and arabs diverse ethnicities live on the west side. All the good healthy food is on the west side, all the cheap stuff is on the east side. More crime on east side, more night life west side. Diversity in general is not ohios strong point, Take it how you want
ОтветитьI live on the east side my whole life. 4/5 ths of it is unliveadle unless you like crime. My home town euclid went to complete shit. White flight is very very bad on the east side. Im as far east now as you can go and its surroundedby ghetto. And am currently looking to move to north royalton.
ОтветитьCleveland native here, Westside to be precise. Living in the Middle East now for 20 years.. We have a small Ohio community here. We get together every sunday to watch the Browns and sometimes the Buckeyes. Hopefully this is the Brown's year.
ОтветитьNah, I currently reside in Cleveland. There is no industry, it's terrible here. Don't do it.
ОтветитьVERY informative, thank you.
ОтветитьY'all dumb da west been getting like dat 😂💯
ОтветитьWhen black folks moved to East Cleveland over 60 years ago. It was real estate segregated redlining housing that lured them there. When they took over and white folks move out, and low income hardhead thugs took over. And it's city council has run out of resources and time. So those citizens want to annex the wrecked suburb to Cleveland. It's like surrendering your land to your enemy!
White folks in the Metro Cleveland got mostly black folks in East Cleveland right where they want them.
If you talk over a city and it's government, act like your hard working American Worker and stop being a parasite. Because no other government is going give you an economic band aid to save your community.
I lived in Summit county for over a decade and traveled to Cleveland to work. The problem with all the cities in NE Ohio is all the cities in NE Ohio. That part of Ohio could completely change the quality of life of the citizens by consolidating towns and reducing the ridiculous number of separate municipalities.
ОтветитьSaddest sickness
ОтветитьFrom Atlanta, live in Shaker Heights…..love it apart from property tax lol
ОтветитьNo matter how you slice it. It is still "MISSTAKE ON THE LAKE". Lived in Warrensville Heights from 1941 to 1960 left 63 years ago and don't regret it. Besides I could not afford your taxes or having to replace a car every 5 years due to rust.
ОтветитьBorn & raised on the east side of Cleveland!👌🏾 also I definitely recommend the west side of Cleveland as well
ОтветитьGood job explaining my hometown of Cleveland, OH
ОтветитьOne thing, the history museum is called The Cleveland Museum of Natural History....not National History.
ОтветитьI grew up in Rocky River and I really liked this video.
ОтветитьI want to leave Buffalo (Ohio is on my radar and looking into Cleveland!
ОтветитьGreetings from Chicago and New York:
I have slid past and visited Cleveland numerous times between Chicago and the East Coast.
Cleveland does have some slight East Coast vibes to it. But, to me, Cleveland is solidly Midwest. The people are friendly, down to earth, and ready to make conversation. The architecture and development can be dense in some neighborhoods, but the pace is a little slower, and large swaths of the city are wide open and flat.
The topography does start to change and become hillier on the other side of the Cuyahoga Valley.
I feel the East Coast - Midwest divide at the Pennsylvania - Ohio border.
The topography is so much steeper in Pennsylvania.
Admittedly, Appalachia is kind of its own sub-region.
Pittsburgh is not necessarily an East Coast city. If I were to draw my own map, I would color Appalachia with light shading, to show a transition effect into the East Coast. Driving from west to east via I-80, the Appalachian Mountains are a distinct barrier separating Great Lakes and Arctic Air from the Gulf Stream.
If they tore all those big old houses down on the Eastside some parts of town would look like a a beautiful Forest 💯😃
ОтветитьWhat about Middleburg heights & Bera
ОтветитьYou must be an East Sider. No mention of Lakewood's Gold Coast or nightlife. Over 50 liquor licenses on 2 streets, a great music scene, etc.
ОтветитьAs a Lakewood resident I don't consider our sports teams as being on the East side. They feel like more a part of downtown. I feel the same about the West Side Market and The Flats.
Ответитьwhat is this person's education and more to speak about Cleveland....dude...
ОтветитьEast side is better we are diverse and cultured. The west side is diverse but not friendly to non-pink folks. Im an east sider till I die, however Lakewood is an exception of the west side.
ОтветитьNew money? I got no money! Very cool comparison between the two as a CLE rez.
Ответить" Eastside vs Westside"
The migration from the city to the burbs didn't change our stripes and the races on Quigley, in the flats are where, East met West, greater Cleveland or burbs, made no difference, all northern Ohio was rugged industrial and farm, the flats had the mills and foundry's and the burbs had the auto plants. All ugly and rough. Greater Cleveland or Cleveland suburbs were only different in " those days " by whether you were into drugs or just thuggery. Times have changed we've all been homogenized into gutless wonders with no idea of what it took to make this nation a powerhouse that we are soon to lose.
Good information. Thank you!
ОтветитьYep definitely two worlds . East side has alot less Catholics . West side basically all Catholic . Things have changed Thu the Year's , still greatly divided . Shaker first desegregation program in the country . West side very few African Americans , especially places like Parma
ОтветитьI live in Indy now but was born and raised in Garfield. I had some family that lived on the west side and I used to hate going to my grandparents house because it took sooooo long. A good 45 minutes and that’s with getting on the highway. Love my hometown though. I remember when shaker used to be constantly in the top ten of most beautiful cities in the country.
ОтветитьGreat job, young man. I learned a lot. Now I need to visit Cleveland some time and see all these neighborhoods. Thank you, sir.
ОтветитьIt's much easier to get around the West Side than the East Side.
And the truly worst neighborhoods in the CLE area are on the East Side. And those really bad neighborhoods are quite close to the nice East Side neighborhoods.
And the "Great Plains" begin on the West Side of CLE ????????
OK, dude.
What is conservative about Tremont, Ohio city, Lakewood, Rocky River?!
ОтветитьI'm moving there to pick up the Lakewood women who got dumped for another guy. All right.
ОтветитьBrook Park is southside
ОтветитьTell the truth....born and raised there..east vs west side was poverty tough side, west side=middle class white famalies.... "Richie Cunningham ville"
ОтветитьOne of the worst places to live in the United States. I've lived on the East side and W est side and they both suck. People get robbed, shot, raped and killed every single day.
Ответитьeuclid erasure :/
this is purely about the suburbs, not even about cleveland proper. you clearly are biased against areas that aren't as marketable for real estate, as this is your job, but also it comes off as you just hate poor people (like you didn't need to shit on east cleveland in the end, but you felt that was super necessary). this is all information you can glean from wikipedia and surface level research.
No Euclid reference :(
ОтветитьDie hard east sider, who has only been arrested on the westside multiple time over my 46 years. typical huh
ОтветитьThe East side is far more run down and crime infested. I came up in the South burbs of the West side, and would have never considered the East side for a second.
ОтветитьThis is outer-city Cleveland, not inner-city. You're only talking about the suburbs and exclusively the suburbs. You missed important communities on both end such as: the west side's Ohio City, Tremont, Cudell, and West Boulevard and the east side's Superior, University Circle, Collinwood, Fairfax, and so on. No, you actually picked out East Cleveland as a warning. There's some racism in that for sure. That should have been in the video title and description: that this is about the suburbs.
ОтветитьThe East Side is the Least Side, the West Side is the Best Side…!
ОтветитьOhio 😮sucks anyway since 😮
Ответить
