The instrument Dimash plays is a Dombra, it is the Kazakh national instrument, almost every family has a Dombra. His father and his grandfather play it and he couldn't walk that he was already "playing" it :) You see it at the very beginning of the last video he made "Omir" which is a retrospective of his life. For this Armenian song, Dimash had 2 hours to learn it despite not speaking the language. He is so talented and humble :) Bonjour de France :)

At the Turkish concert a couple of weeks ago, Dimash sang a Turkish folk song. There is a fan cam if it. It’s beautiful. I wish he would bring out a record with all the folk songs he does like Durduraz, Samaltau, Kieli Meken, Quiran Elim and the Turkish and Armenian songs. Perhaps add the Kazak national anthem that Dimash sang at the Boxing match in LA a few months ago.

For the first time he performed an Armenian folk song on his concert in Armenia on April 29, 2023. You really, really have to watch it.
He'd barely sung the first note and all my body hair stood up. Goosebumps over goosebumps. He learned this song the day before the concert. I heard he wanted to sing another song, but changed his mind and choose this song. He wasn't sure he would feel confident enough to perform it. But eventually he decided to sing it. In the end of the song he imitates an Armenian Flute, the Duduk, with his voice. The whole song is so incredible. So haunting
