Hipyo introduced me to a new world of keeb modding. THANKYOU.
ОтветитьGet a tripod or at least hold the camera steady. You gave me a headache and motion sickness with this. 🤢
Ответитьok... I like the Num pad too.😁🤪
ОтветитьI need my 10-key. 😆
ОтветитьThe Kilmat is cool but you have to buy so much and there will be tons of unused product leftover.
ОтветитьI really liove the market in terms of ISO DE keycaps
wanting my usual German layout already just kinda makes my keyboard options fucking sad
Keychron Q6 + Durock Dolphin Silent switches + Keychron PBT doubleshot cherry MX profile keycaps FTW! (2 keyboards with the same specks for home and office and only the keycaps colours differ between the two) AND I love them! I tried the noisy switches and I do have 3 full sets of them at home but they drive me up the wall! 100% keyboard squad unite!
ОтветитьWhy don"t you start building custom num-pads to go along with the keyboards.
ОтветитьYour cats 25% the life of your video 75% is my fun cause i build custom keyboards
ОтветитьI ordered a Keychron K5 for 100€
ОтветитьI actually prefer the og 100 percenter
ОтветитьSteven is right, the only good keyboard is a full size keyboard.
Ответитьthe camera work is shitty. Can't tell what they are doing half the time
ОтветитьWhen he says budget and them says something over 100
ОтветитьI've never really got the whole no num pad thing. I used it all the time so it's a must.
Ответитьreading the comments and watching you,, Giraffe... D you guys not know 1800s exist or something?
ОтветитьI have that exact same razer keyboard and just bought an assembled k4 just cuz it was the smallest I could find with a numpad.
Ответитьis it me or was that a reference to "we need a bigger boat"
ОтветитьIt's got to be full size, all the way!
I built my first keyboard last year and went with a the (fully functional) LTC NB1041 Nimbleback Wired Mechanical Keyboard for $75. Then I upgraded to Gateron Ink v2 Black pre-lubed 5pin linear switches (60g Force), added some thick o-rings for extra THOCKINESS and noise dampening, then topped it all off with PBT (instead of cheap ABS) XDA Profile Keycaps in a lovely set of colors that matched my PC setup. I did it all for about $170 and I love every minute of my time with this board!
Edit: the o-rings went on the keycap stems, not the switches. And I also bought a switch tester and a couple sample packs of switches first to get what I wanted after trying them out.
a keyboard without a numpad is not a keyboard you cannot change our ape minds once we get used to it we cant without it
I can't live without it and I litterly only use 6 out of 17 keys for macros, never use the rest. Some people have told me: Map them somewhere else. Sincerelly, fuck you, there is no space on the keyboard if you dont have numpad.
This video was genuinely so helpful as someone who has an OG Razer Ornata, that has been going strong but starting to show some wear and tear from continuous gaming and writing, I'm wanting to build my first custom keyboard (and not break the bank) so this video was really helpful.
ОтветитьSo why go full size if he wanted a num pad? I went with a 96% and its great. But cool he got to build his first keyboard
Ответитьvery good magic Hipyo and Steven great magic so good
ОтветитьPotential unpopular opinion: If this is a custom keyboard, why the hell do manufacturers not make variations that have numpads on them for those that like it? :/
ОтветитьMan I love the Numpad, I work a lot with numbers and excel spreadsheets, but I also use ISO-DE layout. There are not a lot of options ;(
Ответить176 dollars is budget nowadays?
Ответить*very good magic hipyo and steven great magic so good*
Oooh-ooh yee-a-aah*
stephen is just 🤤🥺 damn
ОтветитьI’m new built one keyboard in my life and I know how to do one cause of you
ОтветитьWhy are these so expensive? Like really im curious at that point 176$ US for a keyboard frame.. like what!? Ima just buy branded keyboard and remove the building and lubing pain from my descision.
ОтветитьThe only way is older is if it only has a ps2 instead of usb
ОтветитьKnobless thock is meaningless.
Ответитьdude, because of this, I'm going to build my first ever keyboard.
ОтветитьWhat is the point of RGB if you don't have shine through keycaps?
Ответитьtape mod painters' tape or electrical tape?
ОтветитьMan this is an Experience!
Ответить"no clicky switches......"
and poopooingt numpad....
Thats unfortunate. The condescension is strong with this one.....
I have a q6 and i wanted to try the kilmat mod, what width kilmat did you use? 1.3mm or 2mm?
ОтветитьHow are you are pro at keyboards yet do not know what a NUMPAD is *facepalm.
ОтветитьI’m a complete hotswap mechanical keyboard newb and tbh I’m pretty overwhelmed by the whole process. The whole taping process just lost me -
Wtf was that all about?!!
You guys live such shallow lives. But at least you're not wasting your money and time doing recreational drugs and robbing cell phone stores. So congratulations on your silly little harmless hobby.
ОтветитьI think the "custom keyboard community" should re-define the term of "build". What did you "build" or you just ASSEMBLE the existing parts, same as the way you assemble IKEA stuffs. You said you "build" that IKEA bed, no?
A different story maybe comes from, example, the guy Josef Adamcik, he really BUILD his Sofle keyboard, from design the PCB, print it out, do the soldering, etc...
So next time could we just say "assemble" when we just play with these expensive toys? 😢
the OCD channel
Ответитьso much talk about amazon but when you live in Europe and you dont have amazon near you and y gotta pay ridiculous amounts of money on shiping it sucks
Ответитьlinus sex tips
ОтветитьI enjoyed this a lot. I got here through the algorithm after looking at keyboards for my mom, who works from home and needs a new keyboard. Now I want to build 2 keyboards! When I saw the sheet of Kilmat I was like OK OK I like this content - I work in automotive repair and if you see this Hipyo you should try out MLV or Mass Loaded Vinyl sheets if you haven't already. I use a HyperX Alloy Core right now and it's the best keyboard I've had personally, but trying something new that I can build myself sounds very fun! I'm with Stephen on the 10-key, I worked as a grocery store cashier when I was younger and I can't live without it honestly, makes me feel good hammering those num-keys like I still remember all the PLUs for produce. If keyboards didn't have the upper segment of numbers and it was only the symbols I couldn't be happier, and there's probably some way to bind the keys so the shift key isn't needed, but it's not that much of nuisance. I also think you COULD use spray lube like Stephen suggested somewhat jokingly but you would have to use a dry spray like WD-40s PTFE "dry lube" spray in a quick sweeping motion over all keys at multiple angles as to not over-saturate. Dry-Lube is a go-to for sticky ignition tumblers for me. This all looks very fun, also quite expensive for a dang case, PCB, and switches to build a keyboard when you're just a regular joe, but I still love that there's a market for this custom stuff. You have some great recommendations with sound deadening though, it's the difference between a Honda Fit and a Mercedes S-Class. Thanks for the videos, I think I'm gonna watch a few more 🍻 cheers... P.S. this is 2 G&Ts deep/sorry not sorry
Ответитьthis is how i know im not an enthusiast, i dont hear much if any difference with the type comparison
